All Family Legal proudly provides legal assistance to families growing through assisted reproduction and adoption.
Amira is our founder and attorney, making sure that you and your families are legally recognized and protected. Amira has been called "a lawyer with heart." In addition to being thorough, efficient, and detail oriented, she cares about every one of her clients and making sure that they are getting what they need when they walk out of her door. Amira has chosen family representing all ends of the LGBT spectrum, giving her a deeper understanding of the special needs that may be involved for LGBT families.
Amira is an active member of the National LGBT Bar Association's Family Law Institute, the Assisted Reproductive Technology Subcommittee of the American Bar Association, and the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy. She is also the chair of the Legal Advisory Committee for Men Having Babies and the Family Law Section Liaison for the ABA's Commission on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.
Prior to taking her law practice full-time, Amira spent five and a half years as the Jim Kepner Law and Policy Fellow for the Williams Institute, where she did research and published reports on LGBT law and policy, including discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, family law issues for transgender parents and children, and the legal needs of people living with HIV. She graduated second in her class from UCLA School of Law and holds a Masters in Public Health from UCLA School of Public Health. Amira has been published extensively and cited and featured in a variety of media outlets and journals, including the Boston Globe, ABC News, Time and the New England Journal of Medicine.
Our offices are located in Los Angeles, and we practice throughout the state of California.
