Amelia Demma is a New York licensed attorney and founder of Law Offices of Amy Demma, providing services to those engaged in collaborative family formation, specifically egg, embryo and known sperm donation as well as surrogacy. Amelia began her career in assisted family building as a staff member at RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association in 2003, working on legislative matters specific to those struggling with infertility. Amelia was admitted to the New York Bar in 1991. She is credentialed in Family Mediation through Harvard Law School and in 2019 was awarded the Mary L. Landrieu Supporter of Adoption through Knowledge and Action award by the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys at which she is a Fellow.

Amelia is a board member at the New York Attorneys for Adoption and Assisted Family Formation/NYAAFF and is a committed provider to Men Having Babies’ Gay Parenting Assistance Program. Amelia served as President of the Board of Directors at RESOLVE New England, as a legal advisor to Parents Via Egg Donation/PVED and as a legal advisor to the Society for Ethics in Egg Donation and Surrogacy/SEEDS where she is currently a member. Amelia was the New York State Captain for RESOLVE’s Virtual Advocacy Day in 2020 and will serve in that role again in 2021 leading a team of NYers in lobbying for federal protections and provisions for those struggling to have a baby. Most importantly, Amelia Demma is the blessed parents of 26 year-old twins conceived through assisted means.
