This place is the best ! I never wait more than 5-10 mins to be seen. The staff is amazing and friendly. Dr. Bedient is so down to earth and talks to you like a human not another Dr. IUI and IVF is stressful and expensive, the last thing you want to worry about is coming in and having to wait or seeing unfriendly staff .. Great place i would recommend them over and over again ❤️

FCLV and Dr. Bedient is an amazing and caring place!  We would highly recommend this facility and Dr. Bedient.  My husband and I had two consecutive miscarriages and no answers as to why it happened. I'm 30 and healthy with no prior children/pregnancies.  We decided to see Dr. Bedient to discuss our losses and what steps we could take to find an answer as we just didn't want to go through this again.  Our main reason for going here was not IVF or IUI.  We didn't think we were there yet.  Dr. Bedient never pushed IVF or IUI on us.  She is a caring and compassionate person who listened and actively responded to our needs.  I never once felt judged by her! I always felt like she advocated for us (the patient) and gave us all our options for discussion.  I also never felt rushed when meeting with her.  She made us feel like we were the only patients she had!Our main reason for seeing her was to discuss our recurrent losses and  to conduct some testing to see if we could figure out a "problem" or find the reason for two consecutive losses.  As an aside:  when you first meet at the office, you see a new patient coordinator who processes your insurance and thoroughly lays out projected costs, co-pays, and cash prices for possible services discussed with your doctor.  So for us, we did all of the fertility testing (HSG, numerous ultrasounds, MRI, blood work, seaman analysis etc…).  They clearly walk you through the projected costs with insurance and what it would cost cash (not through insurance).  This was HUGE for us in terms of understanding how we could pay for the testing.  I also love a place that has pay transparency because it is one less thing you have to think about–getting a big bill in the mail was never a thing at this facility.  Next, the staff there is amazing as well! Each nurse and staff member I met with was so kind, non-judgmental, and supportive.  But most of all, someone always answers the phone or gets back to you quickly when you have questions or concerns.  I typically got a response instantaneously or within a few hours, which is unheard of with my other doctors!  In fact, you are given a nurse and your doctor's email address to correspond with them if you have questions.  The support staff quickly responds with answers and solutions.  You also work with the support staff to arrange all of your visits, blood draws, and ultrasounds.  Each time, scheduling was a breeze as they have morning hours and Saturday hours for working women.  I never once had a bad experience with any support staff.  To me, this speaks volumes about this practice.  Once all the test results came back for us (took 1 cycle –30 days), you meet again with Dr. Bedient.  We discussed the results and how best to proceed.  We were able to naturally conceive again after a few months and during the crucial first few weeks of pregnancy, Dr. Bedient and her team closely monitored me for hormone levels and ultrasounds to make sure the pregnancy was progressing smoothly.  Typically at 10-ish weeks (at least for us), things were looking good and we are able to transition back to our normal OB.  We had one last visit with Dr. Bedient where she explained next steps in the pregnancy and how the transition would work from her to my OB.  I wanted to explain the process for us as well as our experience with this Doctor to help families and women out there struggling like we were.   It is not easy, not fun, and very overwhelming and at times scary.  But the care, compassion, support, and advocacy that Dr. Bedient showed me was a level of care I haven't seen anywhere else.  She is an outstanding Doctor and I would highly recommend seeing her.

After going to other fertility doctors in the valley and not making a connection with any of them , I decided IVF was not going to happen for my husband and I . I am so glad a new OBGYN told me to go to a seminar at FCLV and just see what I thought . Dr. Bedient was who was giving information that evening and I knew immediately I was in the right place . She talked to you , not at you , in a calm clear manner . My husband and I took our time with decisions because it was a lot to process , but we never felt rushed or not listened to. Dr. Bedient is absolutely amazing ! She never gave us a sense of false hope , and at the same time made us feel like we had a chance. She’s honest , open, and caring . I had to go out of town soon after my transfer and she did everything she could to ease my worry and set me up with information in case there was an emergency. The odds were definitely against us , but we are now sitting at home with our 6 month old baby girl with Dr. Bedient and her amazing staff to thank !

So far my experience here has exceeded over my expectations. This place is wonderful. From the nurses all the way down to Dr. Shapiro. Everybody is so kind it’s amazing. If your thinking about getting ivf done at the fertility center of Las Vegas I highly recommend it. Don’t read to much into online searches because I did and it made me so scared. After actually going through the process. It has been very easy. I just had my retrieval today. What I like the most is how fast everything was. I was always in and out. Which I’m that Type of person. I like to hurry Through it all. So that’s what really just amazed me. When I decide for baby #2 I will definitely be back here. I would not choose any other place except here because I feel very comfortable! Thank you so much FCLV. Y’all are amazing keep up the amazing work that you do. Words couldn’t even express how satisfied I am I will definitely be spreading the word to go there! Worth every dollar.. ?

After one phone call with Dr. Bedient, I feel so at peace with my treatment plan. It’s so relieving to speak with a doctor that understands your concerns and validates you. The entire staff gets 100% in my book. From start to finish, the process was easy and they were always available to answer my questions. I’m looking forward to getting my treatment started. Dr. Bedient is amazing!! My husband and I went through various local IVF docs and kept failing.. we feel very blessed that we found her. Her approach is very compassionate and patient. She listened attentively to us and answered all our questions without rushing us. We got pregnant with her, and now have a healthy baby boy. We couldn't be more thankful.. took us 5 years of disappointment and multiples rounds with other docs to find her. I wish we would of started with her in the beginning.. but she was worth the wait!

Dr. Carrie Bedient is amazing!! My husband and I did 6 rounds of IVF with other local reproductive endocrinologists, none in a successful pregnancy. We got pregnant on round 2 with her. Healthy baby boy! Her technique is much more thorough than any other doctors in town. She takes her time, shows compassion and will sit and listen. Fertility treatment is such a scary thing, but she takes the world off your shoulders. We were sad to leave her to move on to our OBGYN for continued pregnancy care. Can't recommend her enough..such a wonderful practitioner and human being!!

My coordinator rose was equally amazing, i am an anxious person by nature and i was totally relaxed.for the first time in years i feel like i have the guidance and support i need .Fertility treatments can sometimes be very expensive and stressful! But after my visit today i can say honestly the facility is very nice and the staff are so sympathetic . If it comes down to 20k in treatments this is where i want to spend it !

I’m sorry this review took so long but now that I have my sweet daughter home and in my arms it seems it is finally time. My husband and I tried to conceive for over 1.5 years without any success. We had one miscarriage and it seemed like we were doing everything we could. When I hit 35 my OBGYN recommended we saw a fertility specialist. By pure luck I chose FCLV and got an appointment with Dr. Bedient. I had the most amazing experience with everyone in her office. Everyone was genuinely nice and invested in your experience. Dr. Bedient was so sweet and relatable. Every time I met with her I felt like she was invested in our success. When I wasn’t meeting directly with her I was always able to reach either Christie or Katie, her coordinators, via email or text. It is a lot of information and everyone’s experience/situation is different but she is going to make sure you have the best chance possible to have you’re child. I have heard a few people on chat boards who don’t like this approach, they want you to transfer multiple blastocysts that aren’t of good quality. This is not her style. She doesn’t want to waste your or her time with that approach. After spending about a year with her and her staff, I ended up with a positive on a pregnancy test with a baby girl. Last week I gave birth to a beautiful, healthy, strong baby and my husband and I are head over heels in love with her. We owe everything to Dr. Bedient and wish there was more we could do to show our appreciation. Thank you everyone at FCLV!

Dr.Shapiro is the worst. He tried to do two IVF on me.i paid $35000.,and he told me I should start second one. He told me to do that before transfer embryo. My visit on the transfer was very painful and they made me wait with full stomach because they took other patient who was schedule after me .they took her before me and I had to wait in pain with full stomach for one more hour.My appointment for full stomach was at 2pm and because they took her before me I got my procedure done after 3pm .i was shaking on bed after transfer sweating and crying from pain. This was the worst experience in my life and I’m 36 years old. Next the doctor that i went to see now told me that when she checked my blood history before transfer she said that I was not ready for transfer that day.The transfer was done two weeks too early.now I know why I’m not pregnant. Now I have to do another surgery with new doctor. It’s so funny how Dr.Shapiro place tells you they have 65% pregnancy rate but actually is 25%.I didn’t know how to check but my new doctor told me about their lies.Be careful. If they know you have money they gonna try to do multiple surgeries so they can make more money

Dr. Bedient is truly a gift! We came to FCLV from a different clinic in town and were so glad we did. IVF can be a scary process for many couples, but Dr. Bedient takes the time to explain clearly every step. She never rushed us or made us feel silly with questions or concerns. She treated us respectfully and was super transparent and positive throughout our entire IVF process. The whole time we were thanking our lucky stars that we found her! Every person we worked with at FCLV was a true gem. From blood tests to ultrasounds, each person in that clinic exudes professionalism and truly wants to see patients fulfill their dreams. We were able to get pregnant after our very FIRST FET with Dr. Bedient’s guidance! I truly believe that Dr. Bedient’s superior professional expertise coupled with her genuine desire to see her patients bring new life into this world are why we will be welcoming our first baby into the world next year. Dr. Bedient will always have a permanent place in our hearts and our prayers. Thank you , Dr. B!

Dr. Bedient was our fertility Doc our second time around at the The Fertility Center of Las Vegas. We were blessed to get pregnant with our son 3 years back and now we are expecting our sweet baby girl… Going through Fertility is a very emotionally, physically and financially difficult process but it is all well worth it when you find the right Doc and especially if your goal is achieved and God blesses you with your healthy baby boy or girl. Dr. Bedient always goes above and beyond to be compassionate and patient with all of your questions. She is a mother herself so I could feel the love she has for her own children when she would talk about them to me. I think because she is a woman and a mother she understands the desire us woman have to become mothers too. My husband really liked her as well. She has been an Angel to our family and if your in a position that you have to do fertility treatments to achieve your dream of becoming a parent, I would recommend Dr. Bedient highly to you! She will do her best to try and help your dream to come true! God is the ultimate decision maker but your fertility Doc plays an important role in a successful pregnancy for you and your family!!! Thank you Dr. Bedient for being there for us and we are so grateful to you and your sweet staff as well. We are so thankful to be having our baby girl and we couldn't of done it without you!!! God bless you and your family always and may you continue to help other families to have their babies as well! Your one of the best! Hugs,The Byrum Family

My review is long over due and if I could give 10 stars I would! My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant for a year. It was very discouraging and an emotional time for us. When I turned 35 I knew we had to do something if we wanted children and I am so glad we chose FCLV. I had heard good things about this clinic and also read many good reviews. We were scheduled with Dr Bedient for our consultation. She is the most caring, compassionate doctor you will ever meet. She reassured my husband and I that she would be able to help us achieve our goal of having a family. She walked us through each step and made a very complicated process seem easy! She continually told us not to worry and to trust her and we did. IVF is expensive, I won’t deny that but at FCLV they assign you a coordinator who provides you with financing options, answers any questions you have and is available to you by phone or email. This was very helpful, especially with the medications and injections because they are expensive and you don’t want to make a mistake. They give you a very clear schedule and plan to follow that makes very good sense. You do have to be a little flexible with your schedule because timing is everything with IVF. I usually went in for my appointments first thing in the morning and hardly ever had to wait longer than 15 minutes. I cannot say enough good things about all the staff here. I never had a bad experience. We went for our initial consultation in October 2018 we were pregnant by May 2019! Just a little over 6 months from start to finish. My husbands dream of a baby girl came true and she is due in January 2020. We were able to freeze two perfect embryos that we will use when we are ready for a second baby. Thank you Dr Bedient, not only for your knowledge and expertise in the field, but also for your kindness, compassion and empathy during a very emotional and trying period of our lives. You are an amazing Doctor and an angel on this earth and we can’t thank you enough!!

At my medical work up she took the time to really listen to me and my history. She was very easy to talk to. I wanted to like this clinic, but unfortunately, I did not have the experience that I hoped for. Communication was pretty poor; I had to do a lot of leg work on my own to make sure the clinic got what they needed while I was stimming and after transfers. I thought because I am out of state from my clinic, but only by 3 hours, that I would possibly experience a few issues, but this was not what I had expected. Sending emails to the nursing staff basically went to outer space. I rarely got a response back, and my initial coordinator couldn’t help me once I had done a transfer. My coordinator, Christie, was amazing. She was always so great at getting back to me, even after work hours. It was very frustrating to try to get answers for anyone else, though. With how much we paid out of pocket, $14,900 not including medication and my out of town monitoring, I honestly expected to feel like their top priority. Any of us that pay that kind of money should be treated that way, regardless how many patients you have. And if the clinic can’t provide that kind of attention, then hire more staff. I had three embryos make it to day 5. When I asked the grade, because my local OB asked me and I told him I didn’t know, I was only told they were 5 day blastocysts. Unfortunately, I miscarried my first embryo around 8 weeks, second embryo was a chemical pregnancy, and our third embryo died after the thaw. We opted out of doing the genetic testing because I was told it wasn’t really necessary for women under 35. Plus I didn’t have any other (known) issues other than I don’t have fallopian tubes. When my last embryo didn’t make it, my primary doctor, Dr. Shapiro, was out of town. I was planning to do my transfer with Dr. Bedient. I had never met her, but I wasn’t really worried about that. She called us the day of our transfer to inform us there was an issue with the embryo and they wanted to give it more time to see if it would survive. We ended up staying overnight only to be told it didn’t make it the next day. Dr Bedient was so wonderful explaining what happened, what we could do for the next round, answered any and all questions we had. Definitely not the experience we ever had with Dr. Shapiro. He rushed us off the phone after my first miscarriage and really didn’t say much after our chemical pregnancy. If we had decided to go back to this clinic, we would go with Dr. Bedient. I was also informed he would call me to discuss what happened when he got back into town. It has been a month since we were supposed to do our transfer and I still haven’t heard from anyone. The overall experience we had with this facility wasn’t great. At first, I thought maybe my expectations were too high, then I remembered how much time and money we spent and I should have felt a lot more important to the staff and my doctor than I did. We have gone with a clinic closer to us and are hoping for our miracle baby one day.

After five long years, my husband and I are finally expecting our beautiful, healthy baby girl… and we could not possibly be here if it were not for Dr. Shapiro and his wonderful staff. We did a round of IVF with Dr. Shapiro beginning in September of 2018. I became pregnant from our first transfer in November 2018, but I did miscarry that baby. Dr. Shapiro’s compassion and understanding during our miscarriage was incredible. He came into the office after hours to talk to us and stayed with us as long as we needed to answer all of our questions. We took some time to grieve and heal both physically and emotionally, and tried again in July 2019. Once again with our second transfer, I became pregnant. We are now 19 weeks pregnant with this beautiful baby.Dr. Shapiro is not only kind and compassionate, but he is absolutely brilliant. I felt like an actual person at this clinic and not just a number. My IVF coordinator Katie answered my emails on weekends and after hours. She was always rooting for us to have our baby! The phlebotomists, nurses, medical assistants, and front staff are amazing as well. Every person in this office knows your name and their compassion is so evident. We plan to do another round of IVF in a few years, and I will absolutely be going to this clinic again.

Dr Bedient is wonderful. She was so kind and really caring. She put my mental health first and foremost. This meant so much to my husband and I. I highly recommend her. She won’t ever know how much it meant to my husband and I as to how caring she is.Although we didn’t go through IVF or any treatments here I would recommend this clinic to anyone. I am a cancer survivor so unfortunately going through IVF had an extremely low chance for me which we found out through the tests that Dr Bedient had me do. I just really can’t say enough how grateful I am for Dr Bedient, for being so open, honest and above all caring. We initially went to another clinic in the area who almost robbed us blind without making sure I was even able to conceive again. They didn’t care to check into the fact that I went through chemotherapy and radiation. They didn’t even check my blood levels before pushing us to pay for all these different things. We are just so glad we found this place. We appreciate the honesty and care.

I have refrained for years from writing this review but i woke up this morning needing to get this off my chest.During my experience with using this facility, my family and I had our appointments regularly rescheduled by the clinic the day of, on several occasions. Also, our phone calls were never answered or returned in a timely manner. Even in person, the customer service wasn’t there. My spouse and I sold our home to have enough money to have children via IVF. We spent around $50k with this company and absolutely nothing to show for it. What I want everyone to be aware of is when Dr. Shapiro tells you, “If the procedure doesn’t work, we will keep doing it until we get success…without additional charge”, you are being lied to. Although they do not charge for the additional procedure, they charge you for all the additional medication, which is around $24k. I feel like Dr. Shapiro and his associates knew my spouse and I were naive to this situation. Finding out what Dr. Shapiro ‘meant’ when he said he would continue doing the process for free, really meant charging us another $24k, really crushed me and my family’s spirit. After all the calls they didn’t return and the several appointments they canceled on us, several of them being last minute, the fact that the procedure didn’t work really destroyed my family along with the bank account. Our egg donor also suffered severe pain in her ovaries for an entire year after the procedure from the uncertain hormone injection schedule. The lady at the clinic in charge of monitoring the schedule for her medication is the one that never answered her phone and always cancelled or rescheduled our appointments last minute. She did not provide the one on one patient customer service she should have during our process and we were often left to guess the next dosage in fear of missing a regular injection. My recommendation to others is to go to clinics outside of the United States. Like in this experience, there are doctors in America who often over charge and under deliver on their promises. This can be verified by 30 minutes of research online. My family will never get our money back but I hope that this post will help save you and your family yours.

If you are the first time to do IVF or some treatment here, I don’t recommend here. Because Here is too simple to communicate with the coordinator by mail, so If you are a very busy person, maybe you will fit this clinic system, but if you are the first time treatment person, It is too uneasy to communication way. I think it depends on which coordinator you have. It’s always voicemail when you call and no one ever calls you back, and My husband went to the clinic to ask prescription which supposed to be sent to the pharmacy but it wasn’t. and I had to start the medicine the day.  My coordinator didn’t answer the phone and mail at all. So they said Please rid off stress all the time, but unfortunately, the coordinator makes my stress all the time because of irresponsibility.Dr. Shapiro was very nice and seems very knowledgeable and always smiling. but on the day of egg retrieval, they don’t have a Real Preoperative room. So when I wake up from the anesthetic, the nurse told me that wake-up and change the clothes because we have another patient after that. Is it a Joke?! So I changed clothes to back to home even I had still dull and had lightheadedness. It was totally sloppy work. Anyway, I do not recommend that if you are the first time to do it.

Dr. Shapiro and his team delivered superior care, rigorous scientific analysis and personalized care that ranks the Fertility Center of Las Vegas as a world-class facility. After disappointing experiences with some of the most expensive and prestigious fertility organizations in California, we tried the FCLV because it happened to be close to our home. Dr. Shapiro’s experience and training was apparent from our first consultation. Dr. Shapiro earned our respect. His laboratory and his scientists, nurses and care professionals delivered results and we look forward to a continued relationship with his organization. Our advice to others seeking fertility care: 1. Go to FCLV 2. Work with Dr. Shapiro and his colleagues 3. Develop a strong working relationship with the medical staff 4. Work with billing folks to manage costs. 5. Stay positive

My apt was scheduled at 6:30am, I arrived a few minutes before and the door was promptly opened at 6:30 sharp. There was already a few other patients, I signed in and took a seat, within seconds I was called back to do the bloodwork. The phlebotomist, was so sweet and she handed me the cutest teddy bear to squeeze !!! There was a sign on the wall in front of me “miracles do happen”After I was led back to the lobby but literally a second after I sat down, I was called back to the ultrasound. The ultrasound technician was great and explained what all the numbers she was reading out meant. This office is so efficient and swift, I was out of there at 7. Such a great experience.

We went through Dr. Shapiro for IVF last year and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The staff was responsive and helpful with all of my concerns and were extremely helpful and kind throughout the entire process. I never felt forgotten or lumped together with other patients. Dr. Shapiro personally called us after hours to be sure we had the results of our blood tests and to make sure we were still on track. We started our journey with FCLV las February with our first meet and greet appointment, started the retrieval cycle in April of 2018, and transferred our first frozen embryo on August 1, 2018. We just had our first baby April 24, 2019 and we couldn’t be happier. We are excited to move forward with our remaining embryos in the future with the same staff!

From the time I entered the doors, I was treated SO well! I flew in from the East Coast and they knew this, so I was seen quickly. Laurie was kind and informative, and Doctor Bedient was so thorough and patient and her bedside manner exceeded that of any MDs I had worked with involving surrogacy in the past. The blood draw was fast and I hardly felt anything – and they had juice/snacks to accommodate those that had to fast for their appointment. I’ll be sure to refer friends/family to them. 🙂

Read this please- we are warning good people about this clinic. I first went to FCLV thinking they had a good program. I saw Dr. Dachmund before he suddenly left and he seemed nice at first. He had me take estrogen during a cycle without progesterone which we later learned can put you at risk for many problems including cancer and too thick of a uterine lining. This caused multiple problems and the cycle was cancelled and I had to get a D&C. We were devastated. A huge lack of expertise from this clinic. We then decided to go with them again -we never should have- but we thought using a different doctor would change things as FCLV was local. We saw Dr. Shapiro and he also seemed nice at first. We went with embryo donation and it was strange because FCLV asked us to choose from three donor embryo profiles they had. We chose our first choice and they said okay and then suddenly called us a week later and said the profile we chose had already been taken and it was their mistake. We were already in the cycle so had to choose the only profile left which we didn’t really want but had no other choice! Scary. We went through with the transfer and it ended in a miscarriage. We then went with an out of state fertility clinic and had success with a healthy baby girl. Later we called FCLV to request outside monitoring and a possible FET but they were very rude and said we no longer could get service through them without any inclination or explanation as to why. What FCLV did was sneaky, unethical and possibly illegal. Do not go with this clinic! There are many fertility clinics with similar and higher success rates. We were the ones that should have complained more but we actually gave them chances and lost money!!! Do not go here! Very unethical.

Honestly maybe they should work on communication. I tried making an appointment in the time period they gave me but they seem to not care to email or call me back. Then if they do I get an email saying I haven’t tried to communicate when they’re the ones that seem to be dodging me – I get transferred to a machine. I have a tight schedule with full time school and work so on time and quick communication is key for my organization and cooperation. This is rude and disrespectful, if they need more help, hire more people or figure out a better system.

My experience may be a bit of an anomaly being a monitoring patient and donor, but I still think it’s indicative of how their clinic operates and probably helpful info. At my first visit I was assigned to Dr. Bedient, who was kind and informative. But my orders were often coming from Dr. Shapiro, and when I showed up in town the week of my retrieval, I met an entirely new doctor I’d never seen before. I met her at my appointment a couple days before the retrieval, but did not see her again. It’s nice to get that face-to-face contact with the doctor on the day that they’ll be, you know, poking around inside you while you’re asleep. I also never met the nurse who had been my main point of contact for the entirety of the process. Though everyone was nice on an individual level, I never saw the same person twice and it felt like I was a number, being shuffled through the process, rather than a person going through what can be an emotionally charged process. At one point there were four people in the room while my legs were in stirrups, only two of them whose roles were clear to me.The waiting room is not comforting and the blaring TVs are awful. I’ve worked in a fertility clinic before, and we found it important to create a soothing environment for patients going through this challenging process. There were also TVs blaring in the room I was in pre and post retrieval, so instead of trying to calm myself down while getting the IV and feeling comforted, I was anxious because of the blaring news shows. It was also on when I woke up, and I was sitting directly beneath it, disoriented from anesthesia and the TVs are going above me loudly and the lights are bright. Awful! Not to mention, there is no privacy in this room. Despite having curtains they could draw around your bed to create a little private cubby for you, I watched the girl ahead of me wake up from the anesthesia while I got my IV in. I thought, “I feel bad for her that I’m present for this, this feels private,” and sure enough, when I was waking up from MY procedure, another woman was sitting there getting her IV in and watching me. Pretty intrusive and felt like we were in a factory line! No privacy or comfort at all. Finally, they shuffled me out almost as soon as I woke up. Having donated before, I know that most clinics keep you for an hour or so to make sure you’re steady on your feet, give you some crackers and juice, overall just let you adjust slowly. I have felt very taken care of in the past; not here. I was shuffled to a chair position so they could have my bed, then soon after, herded out to the waiting room and handed off to my partner. They told him some instructions and expectations (wish I had been conscious enough to hear these as two pairs of ears are always better than one) as I nodded off on the waiting room couch, not even able to sit upright. We rode back to our hotel and I immediately got out and vomited in front of our very fancy hotel. It was terribly embarrassing, they had to send a clean up crew, and this was all because I should not have been in a car so soon after waking up. My memory of leaving the clinic, being in the car, and getting up to the room is only in blurry snapshots because I was still so much under the influence of the anesthesia. So careless to let me leave that early!

My husband and I had been trying for several years to have a baby, but without luck. I had heard amazing things about Dr. Shapiro and his staff for years, so I took the scary leap and made an appointment to see him. From the very first appointment, the best way I can describe how office staff and Dr. Shapiro made us feel is “at home.” There was no “beating around the bush” or stalling when I had questions or concerns, but genuine, honest answers. For each step, the different assistants were always there, during or after office hours. If I had emergencies, they were immediately there to assist. After what seemed like a long 4-5 months, we were given the best news, and were blessed with two beautiful babies. Words cannot express how thankful I am to the doctor and staff for making our dream come true. Needless to say, we will be returning to hopefully make more beautiful little angels. #FCLVfamily

When we arrived in Dr Shapiro’s office last July we were looking for hope and answers. After going to another fertility center in Las Vegas for the last 14 months, we were left with questions and no diagnosis… Dr. Shapiro and his amazing staff changed all of that. He sat down with us numerous times and went over all of our options. He gave us realistic expectations and his time… which was all we needed. Because of Dr. Shapiro and his amazing staff we are now 20 weeks pregnant with a baby boy!My only advice is not to be fooled by those other fertility centers in town with their fancy waterfalls in the lobby… who do you think pays for all of that? The doctor was very nice and seems very knowledgeable, we met him briefly; the medical staff greeted us nice. We had a 10:00am appt, met with the doctor at 10:25, were still waiting at 11:06, until they told us it could take up to another 45min for my partner to wait to do the test because “there is a line” for the test. They didn’t want to accept/verify  my fiancé’s insurance because it was going to take “45min” yet we were there for over an hour.. so why were they unable to check again?? The facility seemed very unorganized as far as scheduling and managing their patients and their office space. I also didn’t like that the staff were OUT IN THE OPEN in their small lobby talking to my fiancé about the wait and about the PROCEDURE  which to me is a very private conversation and a sensitive topic to discuss!! Also HIPAA!?!? I had to ask for them to  talk behind  the door and not in the lobby where people waiting can hear.  THE WORST PART!? They also asked if my fiancé wanted to use the PUBLIC RESTROOM to provide the test…..are you kidding me??

From multiple billing errors and higher than expected costs to unreturned phone calls, delayed prescriptions, and attitude issues from the financial department, I’m extraordinarily happy we’ve left FCLV for a different clinic here in Las Vegas. Months after my failed IUI, i received a check saying they’d audited my account and I had overpaid by $99. 2 weeks later, I received a 30 day past due bill for $457 (even though it was my first statement). When I called they stated that it was due to them changing computer systems and one was from the old account and the other a new. This is also after they put my husbands DOB under my name, resulting in denial of insurance benefits for a few months before they cleared it up- but the delay has resulted in higher than estimated costs. On top of that- the IUI was a very painful event- when it shouldn’t have been. But since Dr Shapiro doesn’t actually do any of the ultrasounds or testing himself, its all delegated to his nurses- the first time he actually saw my reproductive organs in person and not on film was during the actual IUI. He also brought in a second doctor (while my feet were already in the stirrups) and informed me that this doctor in training would be observing the procedure, ok (not asking- more of a statement). After having to use a cervical clamp and causing obscene amounts of pain, he informed me that IUI just wasn’t for me and we’d have to pursue a different course the next time… (totally what you want to hear immediately following the procedure) but then when the office called to tell me that indeed, that IUI wasn’t a success, his first question was “so did you want to schedule another IUI?”. There were so many other issues that we had during the few short months we used Dr Shapiro and FCLV, but the most disconcerting of all is that upon a visit with another doctor in Las Vegas, it was determined through other testing that literally IVF IS my only option, and that without preparing my body ahead of time, I would likely never carry to term- which would have inevitably resulted in several failed IVF attempts at FCLV since they don’t test for that in the first place. Shop around- do your research, and go with your gut.

The whole experience dealing with billing department is a complete nightmare. It’s always voicemail when you call and no one ever call you back, even the supervisor. No one email you back either. Just receive letters after letters and threats to send to collection. I was one of the many who fell for the $100 discounted price and paid for it in full and waiting forever to get reimbursed by insurance. Now the insurance came out and they apparently billed insurance $287, and after insurance paid $183.97, I not only don’t get any of my $100 back, I still owe them $3.03. Feels like fraud in marketing and insurance fraud. WON’T RECOMMEND!!

My first appointment was with Dr. Bedient to address some concerns following my first miscarriage and wanting to have some tests done. She listened to my concerns and explained what tests we can do to help address my questions & concerns. Once results came in, we reviewed them and we agreed to keep having me try to conceive naturally for he next 5mo or so. I had a chemical pregnancy 3-4mo later and was able to get in for bloodwork and contact nurses via phone and email. (You can get labs done early in the AM before he start of work which is wonderful). I then met with Dr. Bedient again to discuss the next steps since it was two miscarriage in a row and had further blood tests done. We reviewed those a few weeks later (found out I should start a baby Aspirin and taking methylfolate rather than folic acid)  and to my surprise I ended up pregnant again. I was thinking it was another chemical pregnancy.  They got me in right away for bloodwork and continued to follow through with me to see if my HCG was rising appropriately. They supplemented my progesterone and continued to watch that as well. I have had a few ultrasounds and so far so good. Dr. Bedient is truly a blessing and she has comforted me throughout this entire process and I feel like she is on my side and understands all my worries. She is doing everything she can to try and prevent a miscarriage from happening and my husband and I are truly grateful for her help. I recommend seeing her. Her staff has been wonderful too! They all have extensions to contact them directly. Their financial associate Joan has helped me with some billing questions of labs and continues to keep me in the loop about the process and what insurance is covering. Truly great experiences and I’m so glad I went to their office to address my concerns.

WON’T RECOMMEND!!!

My husband and I tried to get pregnant for 8 Years. We went to two other places in Vegas one for a consult and one for two iuis. I was losing hope and I was turning 34 so I was saddened thinking it would never happen for us. Came to Dr Shapiro and we did Ivf and it worked the first time! Thanks for our beautiful baby girl!!!! Don’t give up hope and go to Fertility Center of Las Vegas!!! Also the staff is so nice! My coordinator Melissa even spoke to me at night walking me through the injections when I was confused and even the phlebotomists were so nice I can’t remember her name might be Dove? but I always enjoyed seeing her even if it was for getting my blood taken haha!! I also had an issue on a Saturday where I was worried about my pregnancy and they let me come right in and reassured me! Thanks for everything!

I went here a few years back and did the diagnosis. They are not clear with results. Do not want to give you other options or natural alternatives. Dr. Shapiro will tell you IVF is the only way to get pregnant. Im seeing a pattern here with the reviews. This must be the biggest moneymaker for them. No compassion and a cold experience. Did i mention I received a statement in the mail for someone else with my last name listing everything that was done for them like semen analysis for the husband  etc among other procedures ?. Hippa violation. Very incompetent and ineffective office.  I’ll go a different way.

I am forever grateful to Dr. Shapiro and the entire staff of Fertility Center of Las Vegas for making my dream come true. I just gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby boy on October and I can’t contain the happiness I’m feeling right now. This is our second IVF transfer because the first one didn’t work out but Dr. Shapiro never gave up on me. Finally for the second time it work. Yes it is expensive to go through IVF but once you see your little angel everything is worth it. So from all the Mommy’s out there don’t loose hope. Money can be replace but happiness cant. We will be trying for our second child in 3 years since we still have frozen embryo. Crossed finger Thank you Dina

I went to see Dr Shapiro in Jan of 2016. My husband and I had been trying to get pregnant on our own for a year at that point (keep in mind we had a 4 year old at the time and we had no problem conceiving him). In our consultation he told us we would need to do IVF but before we did that we needed to do about $10,000 in testing just to find out what was wrong and our insurance wouldn’t cover a dime. Then we were expected to pay for the IVF which we all know isn’t cheap. So after asking around I ended up going to s St. George UT in June 2016. The doctor I saw was willing to look at other options instead of just going straight to IVF. We ended up doing three rounds of insemination and got pregnant the third time in October 2016 (just a few months after our first visit). Our baby girl was born in July of 2017. We paid a tiny fraction of what it would have cost to go to Shapiro and didn’t even have to do the 10,000 dollars worth of testing. Some women need to do IVF I get that but Shapiro was not wanting to look into other options for us. (St. George also does IVF for way cheaper too). We felt it was all about the money for him and his office. On top of everything our insurance covers the first consultation but because it was the first of the year Shapiros office said they couldn’t bill insurance right away so they charged me $100 and said they would reimburse after they bill insurance and receive the money. Well they never billed and trying to retrieve that $100 was like pulling teeth and a waste of time that I didn’t have so I dropped it. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM OR HIS OFFICE TO ANYONE TRYING TO GET PREGNANT. We were desperate as I’m sure you are too, but don’t settle! There are better doctors and more affordable routes!

I’m extremely sad today was my last ultrasound with Dr. Bedient!  My wife and I went for our 1st round in trying to conceive. I don’t have any fertility issues, all that was really lacking was the sperm. Dr. Bedient was great at explaining the process and wht had to ve done to get from point A to point Z. She is such a sweetheart who truly made me feel comfortable and gave me hope. After the first round of IUI we found we were pregnant! The staff was amazing as well always so kind and the professionalism was at its best! Wait times weren’t long whatsoever and there was always someone available for any questions I had either through phone, email, or in person. I really had such a great experience amd I’m so thankful for all they’ve done to help my wife and I have our beautiful baby. Definitely will recommend them tp anyone trying to conceive.

We went in for our $250 consultation and met with Bruce Shapiro “M.D.” He was quite pompous and dismissive and barely let us speak. He had not even taken the time to review my fiancé med records and kept asking her if she remembered different lab values(which were in the chart notes, if this clown bothered to review them before our consultation).Shapiro asked her about the same lab values 3 or 4 times as if he forgot he asked her 5 minutes before. I don’t know about you but most people don’t memorize lab values taken weeks before. Again he was very robotic and aloof and was not really paying attention to what we were saying(when he let us talk or asked a question for the 3rd time). When we were done, we both looked at each other and did not have to say anything as we knew we would not be coming back to this WEIRDO. Save your money, save your time and save some aggravation by passing on this place(don’t know about the other doctor(s) that work here but Bruce Shapiro is an oddball looking creep). Hope this helps others.

Had a very good experience here.  Was a patient of Dr. Daneshmand first, and when he moved to California, I switched over to Dr. Shapiro.  I previously had a bad experience at another clinic, and my treatment at Fertility Center was much much better than my prior experience.  Both Doctors made themselves very available to reach for questions and were very prompt in their responses.  Staff had much better communication than the other place and made sure I knew what to do every step of the way.  Directions and explanations were very clear.  Our first IVF attempt did not work out, but the Doctor called us personally to discuss the results with us, and suggested some changes for the next attempt.  We’re still waiting on results from our last retrieval, but whether it works out or not, I feel that the Doc and his staff did everything they could.  I felt I was in competent hands.

Untrustworthy, unethical, shady “business” practices by Dr Shapiro. In our first consult meeting he had my husband’s test results and he has low quantity and low motility. Dr Shapiro told me that for sure my husband’s sperm speed is definitely effecting why we aren’t getting pregnant but we need to do all the female tests on me to make sure there isn’t anything else going on. There wasn’t. All my results were good. However that didn’t stop Dr Shapiro from telling me and my husband in the last apt that husband’s sperm isn’t the reason we are not getting pregnant and that we need to do IVF. WTF?!? So Dr Shapiro either lied to me in the initial consult or the last consult but for sure he lied at least once. And of course he is pushing the most expensive, intrusive and most difficult option instead of just moving the sperm up closer to my eggs for the slow swimmers to get a head start!  Shady. Find someone who doesn’t lie to his patients and push the most expensive unnecessary difficult medical procedures on them after lying. Oh and they regularly run 1-2 hours late. Which is also horrible on it’s own merit. Even when I had an apt before 10am the wait time and disregard for patients time is awful.

So thankful for Dr. Shapiro and staff at the Fertility Center of LV.  After several years of infertility we started IVF at the end of 2015 and had our FET in early 2016.  I couldn’t imagine having any other Dr. to help us through this process.  Learning we had to do IVF was extremely hard to accept and Dr. Shapiro was so kind.  One thing that stuck out to me was I was quite emotional one day in his office with my husband.  The next day I got a follow-up call to see how I was doing.  With an office that busy, to take the time to do that meant a great deal to me.  His bed-side manner was great and I never doubted his recommendations.  I mainly went to the Henderson location for blood work, etc. and the ladies there were AWESOME.  I truly missed seeing them every week.  Arlen at the Sahara location who helped me through the whole IVF process was incredible.  She is SO busy but responded to every email and call I had promptly(and trust me, there was a lot.).  IVF can be scary process and I constantly had a ton of questions and never felt like nuisance.  I will say, someone else who wrote a review commented on getting call backs.  I too did have some hiccups along the way with this, usually with instructions after blood work.  Don’t hesitate to call and leave a message after 4pm to check the status, if you have not received a call.  Its so important to stay on schedule and you can always get a hold of someone if it is nearing the evening. I can’t thank you guys enough! We welcomed our beautiful, healthy baby girl on her due date and thanks to you I’m a mom!

Dr. Shapiro is truly a miracle worker! He is percise, meticulous, straightforward and will tell you exactly what needs to be done in order to achieve your goal of having a healthy baby. We were about to give up on having a second child (two failed IVFs prior) but after attending a seminar and speaking to a former patient (Abby)- I just knew we found the right doctor. One round of IVF with Dr. Shapiro and we were pregnant! We are so thankful for our miracle baby. We have referred several patients since to this practice and all of them have been successful at achieving pregnancy with Dr. Shapiro! Awesome doctor and practice! Don’t waste your time or money with any other practice in Las Vegas- I flushed $25k down the toilet with listening to other doctors (Littman and Sher)-  take it from me- Dr. Shapiro is the best!

We were referred here after a miscarriage and years of infertility, due to unknown reasons. We started the IVF process in January 2016 and became pregnant the very next month! We recently had our perfect baby girl 40 weeks and 4 days later. PROS: We have the most beautiful and healthy baby girl. There’s nothing better than that. Therefore, they deserve more than 5 stars!!The hours for blood draws are super convenient and they’re open 7 days a week. The office is very clean. They are great at what they do with high success rates. They referred us to their cord blood storage bank. CONS: They sent us a bill for a frozen embryo stored in their bank from 2014 from another patient. We were not even patients at that time. We can only hope our remaining frozen embryos from January 2016 are safe. They repeatedly failed to call in the prescription meds ahead of time, which left us (always) scrambling hours before injections needed to begin. We were never given an IVF coordinator, so I was always unsure of whom to contact when I had a question. Often times, I would resort to the Internet. At my final ultrasound, my feet were in the stirrups and the doctor was on his phone the entire time, while the ultrasound tech did her business. The way they deal with insurance companies is a mess. To this day, we are still trying to get the issues resolved. On the business end, there is room for improvement. Regardless, we would recommend the Fertility Center of Las Vegas to any one due to their success rates, research, and trusted medical practices. They gave us a precious life and expanded our family. We can’t thank FCLV enough.UPDATE** We returned for a second baby and had success the first round of IVF, again. I just delivered another perfect baby girl! We are forever grateful.

We went to see Dr. Daneshmand after discovering that I was a carrier for a rare genetic condition which does not inhibit pregnancy, but makes live birth almost impossible. My husband and I are generally skeptical people (and a little hard to please), but loved Dr. D from day one. He is compassionate, kind, and honest. He made himself available when we had questions, and he was personally present at many appointments (plus, after my egg retrieval I ran a high fever and Dr. D was on the phone with my husband several times that night checking in on me and helping us find a 24 hour pharmacy). When his staff made a mistake on our file that had potential financial implications for our family, he made it right that same day. I never had any problem getting a hold of my IVF coordinator, or any of the other staff, with questions or concerns.  Wait times were generally not that long and they saw me on more than one occasion even when I arrived late or without an appointment. Most importantly, I’m currently pregnant with twin boys. Thanks, Dr. D!

Unfortunately this office and ownership are in it for the bottom line, $$. If you have insurance, don’t waste your time here. If they use insurance, they don’t make as much money … they will slap you with a $5000 surgical fee. What surgery center? Why, they opened up another entity that they own with the same address and the “surgical center” doesn’t accept insurance. What was the icing on the cake after finding out about the “Surgical” fee, I emailed Dr.D directly…who also happens to be an owner trying to get him to waive it and his response was “unfortunately I am not involved in billing and doesn’t control it” and then moves on to say how successful their clinic is, ha!  I guess a great business move, so you can’t fault that, but maybe they should learn about compassion and helping those emotionally distressed trying to start a family vs taking advantage of them. Completely immoral and will never give them a dime of my money.

If you want to get pregnant go here! I was referred to Dr. Daneshmand by another fertility practitioner in the area who told me flat out that he is the best and also extremely compassionate. I did a ton of research on success rates and methods and considered going to southern california for treatment but decided on the Fertility Center of Las Vegas and am so glad I did.  My husband and I got pregnant after 1 round of IVF with Dr. Daneshmand and had a healthy pregnancy and welcomed our healthy beautiful baby girl last fall.  Dr. Daneshmand and his team have some of the highest success rates in the industry and actually lead the industry in their lab techniques. They don’t try to “upsell” you to buy multiple rounds and they are very up front about why different fertility treatments may or may not work for you.  They are also very thorough in their pretesting and the entire process.  And their staff is amazing and Dr. Daneshmand is so caring and explains everything and even answered my emails on weekends!  Also they are great about working with your insurance to get some of the treatment and medications covered.  I never thought I would have a problem getting pregnant and after trying for a year and a half on our own which was an emotional roller coaster I’m so glad we decided to get help and I’m so glad that the Fertility Center of Las Vegas is here local. People seriously travel from all over the world to come to this clinic and we are so lucky they are here in town.  If you’re having trouble getting pregnant at least come in and get evaluated and then you can decide what path you want to take, I wish I wouldn’t of waited so long because it was such a great experience that ended with our little sweetie pie.  Love Dr. D and the Fertility Center of Las Vegas!

This is long but worth reading if you want a big family :)Where do I even begin? When we were first told I will be needing fertility treatments I was devastated since I couldn’t even imagine not going through this process naturally. After a month of research to determine success rates in the state of Nevada (and we went deep on the research) The conclusion was final with The Fertility Centers of Las Vegas. When my husband and I came for our first consultation the staff was so welcoming and pleasant! We met with Dr. Daneshmand and basically right then we felt more comforted. Dr. Daneshmand, beyond his professionalism, beyond his patience which we needed a lot of due to our language barrier, and beyond his complete honesty with our situation- he was just an angel.. TLC was all we needed after the journey we have gone through before. I just couldn’t believe that with such a busy clinic he would have all the time I NEEDED – and he made sure HE DID. STAFF – We had such a long process and although this clinic has a huge number of patients – they are attentive to everyone, make every patient feel special as we should feel due to the circumstances we are there, and they greet you with a TRUE smile!    There is no way I would have had this process done by anyone else – anywhere else. I am 3 months pregnant now for the first time, and I am praying for anyone who is researching right now 🙂

Fertility is such a sensitive topic and one that should be treated with care and love. I have experienced just that with this office. Dr. Shapiro was kind and thorough with my husband and I on our initial consultation. He answered all of our questions and even made sure to ask again if I had anymore. Debbie, the patient coordinator, is the biggest gem ever. Incredibly competent, she makes sure to check all insurance possibilities and is very detailed when it comes to setting up appointments and relaying all the pertinent instructions for testing. I’ve never experienced anyone in a doctor’s office who goes more out of her way to help. And I can tell she cares too. Also, the ladies in the front are awesome as well. So far, I’ve only had an initial appointment and blood work done inside the office, but it all went smoothly for me. I read a few negative reviews about how appointments run late. I haven’t experienced this yet, but I also really appreciate that the doctors are just rushing patients out the door either. Love this place. And Debbie. Did I mention already I love Debbie? 🙂

I was an Egg Donor here for the past couple years and have done a total of three donations at the FCLV and two elsewhere. For anyone interested in donating eggs and looking around Las Vegas for your options THIS IS THE PLACE. As I mentioned, I have worked with other clinics but the staff and professionalism here is not matched by anyone else in Las Vegas. Especially for first-time donors, the staff you work with will walk you through each step of the process and explain it until you feel comfortable. The biggest difference I noticed between FCLV and other fertility centers is when it comes to understanding and taking your medications and injections. OTHER PLACES have you contact the pharmacy, set up delivery, check to be sure you have everything you need and read instructions of how to take the injections. If you aren’t familiar with the medications and haven’t ever done self-injections this can be an incredibly daunting undertaking. Now, FCLV gets your medications for you so all you have to do is walk into their office and pick them up. If it’s your first time, they take you into a room, walk you through each medication, how to work a syringe, how to inject yourself, etc. I am so glad the first donation I ever did was with The Fertility Center of Las Vegas! They helped me understand the entire process and I never felt like a burden. (Maybe a petri dish  but never a burden.)

If you are a patient that uses insurance, beware of all the added “surgical” fees that pop up that you aren’t charged for when you are a cash patient. Other well known and successful doctors in town don’t charge these fees. When I emailed Dr D about this he claims he isn’t involved in billing and that they have an amazing staff. Very unimpressed and I guess he allows his staff to charge whatever they want since he has no involvement, ha!

The treatment we are getting is aggressive. By that I mean they want to do as much to help you, as soon as they can. We have limited time due to age. They order and explain the diagnostics so you don’t feel so confused or afraid. They extend personal lines of communication to help you with your journey. I have never been so livid… ONE YEAR later I get a bill for “fertility purposes” when it was for medical purposes only to get a second opinion on my Uterus Didelphys. It had NOTHING to do with fertility. It took me 3 months to get in with Dr. Said D. and the only way to see him for medical reasons is for my gynecologist to call him to verify. Wow, what can I say….after a 5 year emotional journey, me and my husband and son welcomed our twin girls on 12/9/15. After 2 IVF treatments that didn’t work at the time, tried IUI over 5 times, we decided to go back to the Fertility Center of Las Vegas because we were not giving up! Dr D and his staff are simply amazing. Dr D takes the time to answer anything you need to know and is always available via email. He truly cares and we are very thankful to him and his staff for helping us bring our 2 little angels to us. It took some time and lots and lots of patience….but yes…it finally happened :-)))) Thank you Dr D and staff….you have completed our family.

I wouldn’t recommend them at all.. they wanted me and my fiance to do the ivf when we didn’t have to. We were told iui wasn’t something we should do even though we wanted to and asked multiple times. We ended up going somewhere else RED ROCK FERTLITY helped us and their staff was wonderful very helpful we did our first cycle of clomid iui and we’re PREGNANT. All I’m saying is don’t let this fertlity clinic scare you and make you think having a child is hopeless because it’s not God bless everyone and I hope your blessed with a wonderful blessing….

I just wanted to take the time to write a review,  and hopefully give someone hope. Dr Shapiro helped me conceive 3 beautiful little girls.  My oldest is 5 years old, and my twins are 3 years old. We tired IVF twice and both times ended up in pregnancy and live births,  I am very greatful for Dr Shapiros knowledge and compassion.  When I first started my IVF process I weight 267, after all my births I decided to do the Gastric Sleeve,  and went down to 141, well to my surprise after losing 126 pounds I ended up getting pregnant on my own, I am now 17 weeks pregnant without medical intervention.  I hope this gives at least one person hope. Trust in Dr Shapiro,  he knows what he is doing.  I have 3 little girls to prove it.

I really like this fertility center and I respect the work of Dr. Daneshmand and all his staff. They r very caring of u, giving u a hope, and u understand that u still have a chance. I really thank Dr. Daneshmand for his work, for his help. The only thing why I put 3 stars instead of 5 is because it’s really hard to call them, everytime they transfer ur call to another medical assistant and there is no answer from the second one. And sometimes even if u left short msg for them there will be no call back from them. Medical assistants, don’t waste the authority of Las Vegas Fertility Center and especially Dr. Daneshmand’s authority with a such kind of attitude to your work.

Going through fertility treatment is a very emotional journey. You have to wait and be patient..and it could be stressful, frustrating and feel like everything is going exactly the opposite of what you have planned. At FCLV i found that somebody will be there for you to support, encourage, find a B plan and just listen.Dr. D is honestly the best doctor I’ve encountered. He will take his time to listen and respond to your questions.I was amazed at the amount of patience he has. He is very professional and knowledgeable. After finding my problem,he explained the solutions and we went from there.Even though I didn’t have to undergo IFV, he was there for me every step of the way, every u/s, every blood drawn . He will personally reply to my emails whenever i had a concern about anything. He is a man with a big heart and full of compassion. Definitely a great asset to the community and the medical world.Dr. D’s staff is also amazing. Starting with Veronica at front desk that is always ready to find somebody to help you,of course Dove is there to entertain you while drawing blood and all the nurses that would give you a call next day with the results.Roshanda ,Raquel and Cara are amazing – they seem to genuinely care of your state of mind and needs. All the staff is very helpful and very respectful of your time when it comes to “waiting time”.With God’s will and Dr. D’s expertise i am 14 weeks pregnant now.I had to leave FCLV .Dr D and the staff spoiled me with their attention and professionalism so now i expect from all medical offices same attitude.Thank you FCLV!My advice to those who struggle with infertility-it doesn’t matter if your issue is big or small,Dr. D will find a way to help you. There will be a lot of u/s and blood drawn but it is all worth it.

Not only because he got me pregnant but he makes me feel like he sincerely cares for me to have a child. The office staff is all great and easy to work with. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. The Fertility Center of Las Vegas has impacted my life in more than one way. I am, or was, a donor with the fertility center, and each time was nothing but pleasant. Becoming a donor is not an easy decision and it takes a lot of dedication. The staff and doctors at the fertility center know that and show so much appreciation to their donors. I was taken such good care of with each donation, and I am actually pretty sad that I can no longer donate as I have donated as many times as the FDA will allow. I have gotten to know the staff pretty well and I have nothing but amazing things to say about them! Especially Ashley, who was my donor coordinator for most donations! She made her self available to me via e-mail, phone, AND text day and night! I am now doing my best to recruit and get the word out there for potential egg donors! If you are interested in becoming an egg donor, I can honestly say Fertility Center of Las Vegas is the best place to donate through! Dr. Daneschmand and Dr. Shapiro are amazing, and make you feel so comfortable! I am so happy with my decision to have donated!

I was never a person who went to doctors until I found out I had some pretty gnarly fibroids and endometriosis, and then I had a miscarriage as a topping to that cake. All of this was initially so scary for me and I can’t say enough about Lisa, Dove, Christie, Arlyn, and Dr. D. They are all very sweet, helpful, and seem truly concerned! They’ve helped us through such a complicated and sad ordeal. The verdict is still out on our future but so far I am very grateful to have found this place.

My wife and I (we are a lesbian couple) had always dreamed of creating a family of our own one day.  And after being together for 8 years and married for one, we were more than ready to get things started.  After several unsuccessful attempts with home insemination, we turned to The Fertility Center of Las Vegas for help.  From the onset of our introduction at our first consultation, we knew that we could put our faith into Dr. D in hopes of finally having a baby to call our very own.  He is incredibly intelligent–a pioneer in his field to say the least (the clinic’s success rates speaks volumes of this!).  He has a bedside manner like no other physician we have met, which is immeasurable in value considering how delicate the whole process can be.  He was very warm and caring, while being honest and candid with all facets of our situation.  My wife and I both came across some hurdles along the way, but we made it through with Dr. D’s guidance and expertise.  It is such an emotional process, and we could not have done it without Dr. D and his staff’s support.  Our first trial with IVF, as Dr. D predicted, was a successful one–we were blessed with a healthy baby boy!  Everyone there treated us with such care and love–I never felt like a number there.  The receptionists, the office coordinators, the blood draw girls (loved Dove, such a sweetheart), the sonographers and nurses all made us feel so comfortable and hopeful.  It is like having your very own fans who are rooting for you the whole way.  Their love and support made it hard for us to go back to our regular OB after they released us into his care for the remainder of the pregnancy.  It truly is a remarkable operation in its entirety. On a side note, I have seen other reviews mention that they were forced to do unnecessary diagnostic testing, that it was too expensive to go through The Fertility Center of Las Vegas for these reasons.  You have to understand that Dr. D and Dr. Shapiro are not only physicians, but they are also scientific pioneers in their field.  They are extremely thorough.  Everyone’s case is different, and each test and treatment is designed according to each person’s needs. Gathering information from such tests is vital in maintaining their success rates, which means a greater number of patients will get the chance to be blessed with the birth of their very own baby!  People from all over the globe come to them–they are in that high of a demand.  Their dedication and ever increasing knowledge in the fertility field has yielded the highest success rate in all the world! Do your research and come for a consultation.  You will see why we fell in love with this Dr. D and his clinic, and why we will be trying for baby number two with them this summer.  There will never be a way to measure the amount of gratitude and love we have for Dr. D and his entire staff.  Our life will never be the same, and it is all because we went to The Fertility Center of Las Vegas.

I couldn’t be any happier to say that I’m a donor at the Fertility Center of Las Vegas! Everyone there is extremely sweet and helpful in more ways than one. At first when I was referred by a friend I was skeptical of it all, but the entire staff there makes everything so welcoming and comforting.I’m on my third cycle and I always look forward to seeing Dove (she takes my blood)  throughout the week. Not only that but my coordinators Ashley & Sarah have been AWESOME! The main thing I appreciate most about working with my coordinators is that they are VERY informative. Not one moment was I out of the loop or felt lost when needing help with anything or had any questions.Helping a couple, someone, or a family with a child truly is an amazing experience to go through. I’m filled with bliss knowing that I can help and I can tell the doctors and staff are as well! I hope other young woman see this review and go through with donating because it truly is a life changing experience I believe! Working with Dr. D, Dr. Shapiro, and the entire staff has been a wonderful experience and I hope other donors and patients feel the same way as well!

Had frozen my embryos about 5 years ago because hubby wasn’t ready to have kids again, then went to another clinic in Cali to have fresh cycle and have baby, no luck and was informed would prob need to have another procedure done @ $10,000 to be successful. Went back to Dr. Daneshmand who said no, he can’t see a reason for this, let’s try without, got me on meds and now I have 2 beautiful twin boys. Just a awful office. All they want to do is try to tell you what is wrong with you. Nine times out of ten they say your sperm is defective yet never explain how they test it. All doctors want is for you to go on IVF which is not for the average person. If IVF fails you are out 20,000. My wife and got pregnant the old fashion way without any help. Just keep trying ladies it will happen ladies. We are still paying a bill that we are not responsible for because they refuse to bill our insurance.

We ended up not selecting this clinic and here’s why.  Pros – Staff was very helpful and responsive. We don’t know what the outcome would be but…Cons – nearly DOUBLE of the LA clinics? Really? Whoever setup prices in this office to take advantage of being a near monopoly on In Vitro and Fertility for Las Vegas really out to be ashamed of yourselves. We went to THREE LA very reputable clinics.  They have MUCH experience and collaboration with other clinics too.  They were nearly half of prices of this Vegas Clinic. LA has MUCH higher expense with office and staff, yet they charge far less.  We’ve been to 2 offices on Wilshire whose expense is probably 5 times that of the micro Sahara office. Most LA Offices charge about $2000 less per procedure PLUS their procedure includes in it what this office charges – $5000 in “facility fee”.  ALL LA offices we visited include this fee whereas this office charges $5000 more in a “facility fee” while their facility may be 5 times cheaper in rent than LA facilities we’ve been to.  If my operating costs are 1/3 of LA/California, but I charge $20,000 for something you can get from highly accredited clinics for 15K in LA, I find this to be sad at best. Also, it was a matter of “Odds” of success. There are two official organizations posting all US Clinics’ rates of success: 1. Society for Advanced Reproductive Technologiessart.org2. CDC centers for disease control – IVF Results2 years delayed – PDF for 2012 can be downloaded. For instance In 2012 (and all clinics dates are delayed for reporting by 2 years) this clinic had 4 IVF Cycles for women ages 41-42 and 0% live births. Our selected clinic in LA had 40 cycles and 20% live birth success. Save yourself some money, visit LA, enjoy the city, find some cheap place for a few days and do your procedure there. Also I have found that nearly 20 five-star reviews were blocked by Yelp and were done by people who nearly never use Yelp (1-2 reviews). This tells me there was probably a dedicated effort to shore up the rating fictitiously.  Who knows how many other inauthentic reviews actually made it into Yelp’s rating, but I find it discomforting.Dr. D seems like a nice guy and staff is just fantastic and very accommodating! But we just had to go with the best odds and much better price.m

I have been a donor for the fertility center of Las Vegas for over a year now. I’m so glad I made the decision to donate its the best feeling in the world to help a family. I’m also very pleased with the fertility center. I work with Ashley through the coordinator process. She is amazing and friendly and explained all the details to me about becoming a donor even the tax paperwork. I’ve donated 4 times and I can say I know most the staff now and everyone has been very pleasant to treat me. Dove is an amazing asset to the team- she takes my blood and does it where im not in pain (as a donor you give a lot of blood samples) I forget the ladies in the back they take care of me after my procedure is finished. They are all amazing making sure im comfortable in every way. I really appreciate them. The ultrasound techs are great. No uncomfortable bed side manner ever (as a donor you do a lot of ultra sounds) as for Dr. D and Dr. Shapiro… They are awesome I have worked with both of them for my retrievals. They are always so nice and informative (I always ask a lot of questions) their bed side manors are right on point. In no way have I ever felt uncomfortable. Their facilities are clean and im a huge fan of the fertility center. I encourage everyone to donate its the best decision I ever made.

Family planning is a very sensitive issue for some and I think, for this reason, it’s important to have a great connection with your reproductive endocrinologist and their staff. Unfortunately, I didn’t find this at FCLV. I did like Dr. Shapiro, although he was not always the most comforting. He brushed off some of my concerns, worked quickly, and made me feel rushed during some of my exams and procedures. I’m pretty sure this is just due to the nature of his very busy practice, but that’s part of the reason I moved on. Most days, I felt like a number. I once went in for a procedure and, as I was signing in, the girl at the front desk hollered to someone else “the (insert name of my procedure) is here.” Way to make me feel like a condition, and not a patient. And way to violate my right to privacy. Anyone in the waiting room could clearly have made the connection that I was the (insert procedure name here). I found it very difficult to know who to contact at different times during my cycle, despite being given an office phone list the size of the yellow pages. I also found it hard to get my questions answered. At times, I felt like a nuisance asking questions. I received answers like, “It was explained in the packet we gave you.” It’s important for the staff to remember that individuals going through fertility treatments need guidance and compassion. Sometimes I just want to ask a person a reasonable question and receive an answer or explanation that doesn’t come from a pre printed pamphlet. As a patient at FCLV, I felt extremely uneducated and uninformed. Despite my meetings and consultations with Dr. Shapiro, I didn’t feel like I was well educated on certain aspects involving my treatment. Ultrasounds were performed by techs and not the doctor; they would call out numbers regarding my ultrasound findings to their coworker recording information in the room, but would never explain to me what these numbers meant. I found myself making mental notes and then researching on my own later on. Being in healthcare, I’m a firm believer that education is key, and it doesn’t end after the first encounter. One of the hardest things to overcome in this place was how long I’d wait for my appointments. I was often kept waiting long after my appointment time without so much as an update, let alone an acknowledgment, from the front desk staff. The staff create this barrier between them and the patients by closing a glass window, and then they stand around talking and sometimes not acknowledging people at the front desk. This may be totally off base, but they should know this is the impression they’re giving off.  On the plus side, the office is clean, modern and comfortable. I did enjoy the light music playing in the exam rooms. It calmed me on procedure days. The employees in the lab were friendly and efficient. And there are some early morning hours for those who are working with a tight schedule (but don’t expect to be in and out on time). I have since started seeing another reproductive endocrinologist in a smaller practice in the valley and I’m feeling a lot more valued and educated than I did at FCLV. Considering that fertility practices are limited here, FCLV may be a great option for some. Some glowing reviews talk about excellent experiences here so I think everyone needs to see and decide for themselves. Don’t be afraid to shop around to make sure you’re comfortable with the folks who are going to help you achieve your family. They may be right here at FCLV!

I’m VERY disappointed with the front office staff. Their attitude needs to change asap. With all the money people shell out at your clinic , you would think they would be a little bit more caring and understanding towards people’s needs. Under no circumstances should a woman leaving your clinic feel more stressed and upset! shame on you.

I decided to go to FCLV  from hearing the ads on the radio. I attended one of their free seminars and after researching Dr. Shapiro and his success rates, we decided to go with them to find out why we weren’t getting pregnant.  I will admit, yes, at times the front desk staff was a little unorganized and at times, one of the girls even came off rude and un personable (she has since changed and is much nicer now) but I don’t think that I have ever been to ANY doctors office that I could write a stellar review for the front desk staff so it’s not like I ever expect much, though most of the time they were very nice and helpful and the more you go and they get to know you and you them….everyone is friendlier. Dr. Shapiro was great…I would recommend him to anyone. All of the nurses and staff were great (one ultrasound tech was all business and not very personable but she wasn’t rude or mean and one of the phlebotinist couldn’t draw blood from me or a friend of mine to save her life…but she was super nice!) and the  plhebotinist Dove was amazing! If you can…request her, especially if you aren’t a big fan of needles…she is great and Rachel at the Green Valley location was great too! I had 2 failed IUIs…My insurance would have covered 2 more…Dr. Shapiro could have let me keep going but he said that my odds were slim and he told me reasons why. So we decided to try IVF. He is very thorough. Everything was well monitored and any questions I had were answered. We took out a 2 yr loan and got a great interest rate (I did my own research and found a company that does loans for fertility treatments and works with FCLV).  Yes…you will feel nickel and dimed ….but that will happen anywhere (read reviews for ANY fertility center and that is the biggest complaint) but again…it’s all laid out in the paperwork…read what they give you and you won’t have any surprises. The co-pays add up…and if your insurance sucks, then expect to pay a lot of extra bills.  Just do your homework. There are options out there…and if you can’t afford IVF then don’t do it.  The FCLV will work with you even if your budget is tight. Long story short after 5 years of trying and doing Clomid with my OB twice with no luck, 2 Failed IUIs…I got pregnant with fraternal boy/girl twins on my first round of IVF with Dr. Shapiro. 2 healthy babies…no NICU…they are perfect. I also had a friend who did IVF with Dr. D and she loved him and also got pregnant. They are 2 of the best doctors with high success rates. There is a reason there is always a long wait. It’s annoying and it sucks but I don’t mind if I know the doctor is worth it.  Once you start IVF..things are easier at the office…you get your own caseworker to deal with so it’s not so crazy. I highly recommend Dr. Shapiro and the FCLV… They gave me 2 precious gifts that Icould never thank them enough for. Just know what you are getting into…do your research!!

My partner and I started to speak about conceiving a baby together mid last year (2013).  I, not having any children of my own yet, wanted to be able to experience the true meaning of motherhood.  Obviously when in a same sex relationship, it’s not as easily attainable. Our close friends have two beautiful children through the FCLV and expressed how compassionate Dr. Daneshmand was to them.  So we decided it was time to have the same experiences!Along the way, a few hiccups did arise regarding benefits, it seemed as though some individuals in the finance department were not as knowledgeable as others.  Issues were eventually straightened out and just in time for our transfer! The staff there from the receptionists, blood drawers, nurses, Dr. D of course were an absolute icing on the cake!  They are extremely sensitive to ones unique situation and truly care for their patients. We are 3 months pregnant now and couldn’t feel more blessed!  Thank you for that.Anabel & Yvonne.

My Husband I decided to go here after trying to get pregnant for over a year. After testing both of us we decided to go through with the IVF process due to my history of Endometrosis. So much to discuss so I will break it down:* Front Desk Staff: Professional and to the point, the only thing that kind of bothered me was that I felt like I was interrupting them sometimes when they were all chatting in a big group. * My IVF Coordinator was great, she responded to my e-mails in a timely manner and even gave me her cell phone number to contact her whenever I was freaking out about something. (The process is scary and time consuming to say the least). The only thing that bothered me was in the middle of my process I was transferred to many different “coordinators” due to vacations, days off etc. So I was very confused on who to contact when I had questions and concerns. Towards the end I ended up just sending out mass emails to many people. If they could fix one thing I would suggest supplying patients with an itinerary of who they will be working with and what time. They already provided me with the itinerary of meds, procedures and a list of payment options, however a schedule of which staff member to contact during which process would make everyone’s life easier. * Dove the woman who took my blood almost every morning was AMAZING, she was always in a great mood and honestly made everything so much easier. When you are struggling with infertility it is a very scary process and to be distracted by funny stories and small talk makes a huge difference. Every morning I would arrive with knots in my stomach/anxiety but she always did a great job distracting me from reality even for those few minutes.* The doctor himself (Shapiro) had great bed side manner, and kind of made me feel that everything was gonna be fine and he down played a lot of things which put me at ease so I wasn’t over worrying about everything.Overall a great expereince, We followed through with IVF, got pregnant with identical twins and I am currently 5 months pregnant. Yes the process is expensive, we make payments every month to a medical loan with an insanely high interest but I am thankful to have the opportunity to experience motherhood. On a side Note: We recently just received a bill in the mail for $1200 for a genetic testing done at the center after we were pregnant, they tests were sent to a pharmacy not covered under our insurance, so I would suggest to new and current patients to make sure the office sends any tests to a pharmacy covered under your insurance. Mistake made by the Fertility Center which we are currently trying to appeal.

I had a wonderful experience at the FCLV! Dr. D was amazing! He was always there to answer any question I had and was very caring and compassionate with our situation. After our first visit with him I knew he was my doctor. The nurses were very nice and made my weekly blood drawls seem painless. The girls at the front desk were quick at getting me scheduled or transferred to the needed department and even when I called after hours to ask how to administer my shots the nurses were very helpful and didn’t seem annoyed that I was calling them. After reading some of these other reviews I am shocked to read that not everyone had a experience like mine. I would not label FCLV a money factory. Going though IVF is a huge deal and you have to feel comfortable with your clinic and  doctor. I couldn’t have imagined going to anyone else that would give me better care than I had received.

The money factory!!  Clearly this place prints money for the doctors and don’t you dare get in the way.  Doctor was okay – clearly too busy counting his money to have read all those damn forms we filled out and otherwise okay attention to details like our names.  He seemed knowledgeable but none of his canned remarks reflected our specific situation – but in fairness, he could not have known anything about the situation having not read the detailed forms, nor asking any specific question or without actually listening to what we said.  Plus his can I blame his careless demeanor when I don’t remember his name nor care to speak to him again. The highlight of the trip to the money factory was the office manager who we were told was to explain the process.  All she did is put a price list in front of us and tell us about payment terms.  When we questioned an item that had recently been done we were brusquely informed that it had to be done with them because they were the experts and could not be sure what us done elsewhere.  Yup, plus their process on depositing my money is second to none!  The money factory is a wonderful place…..for the owners!  They print money every time a fool like us walks thru the door and more when you return according to the price list (or whatever other name they use for the schedule). We went elsewhere as this is a difficult and trying time and we wanted an office that not only had the right diplomas and know how, but also compassion.

This place is HORRIBLE and I’m shocked to see the positive reviews. Most of those are written by Yelpers with only a few other reviews, so I question their authenticity… I also wonder why so many negative, 1-star reviews are filtered… (I would also like to respond to Anne Q. T.’s post by saying that I would never, under any circumstances, recommend this clinic to anyone in Manhattan.)This office is so poorly run that if they were located anywhere else, they would have run out of business. I guess anything goes in Las Vegas… (?)The front desk is unorganized and staffed with incompetent people. Even though my husband and I were on time, they made us wait more than an hour before the doctor was willing to see us. We had submitted the very lengthy initial patient forms days prior to our visit, yet he didn’t even have the courtesy to familiarize himself with our history, nor was he particularly interested to learn why we were there. The only thing he seemed to be focused on was bragging about himself and in about 15 minutes he rushed us into the case manager nurse’s office assuring us that she would walk us through everything and would be able to answer to our questions. Our case manager was extremely unprofessional with zero bedside manners. She made us wait an other half an hour before she was ready for us. Five minutes after we sat down, she interrupted us and stormed out of the office, saying “Dr Shapiro needs me.”  Really??? “Walking us through everything” meant rushing through a generic list of testing procedures and quoting prices. Half of those tests had already been done elsewhere and the other half was unnecessary in my case, so we questioned her why these tests were required and her answer every time was: “Because this is what Dr Daneshmand ordered.” Very helpful, indeed. As if that’s not enough, she insisted that we sign a bunch of forms authorizing FCLV use our story, pictures, etc. if the procedure is successful. As I said earlier, it’s all about marketing and blowing their own horns at this place. Needless to say, we didn’t go back after such an experience. I detest fertility clinics, like this one, where patients are treated as if they were just a case number and the facility is run like a factory. Since then, my husband and I have been working with a renowned fertility specialist in Manhattan, even if it means he has to fly here every two or so weeks. Everything is explained to us and our questions are answered by the physician and we are now being treated with respect and compassion – something we didn’t experience at FCLV.It saddens me to think that FCLV is supposedly one of the better clinics in Las Vegas and I’m dreaded to think what the competition might be like. I honestly hope the quality of fertility care will improve significantly in Las Vegas and many families will have access to the much better care they deserve.

ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY!!!! I had seen Dr. Shapiro in June of 2013 for an initial consult.  He went over everything told me and my husband what tests would need to be done in order to start IVF treatment (some tests either myself or my husband had done from a previous doctor he wanted to do a repeat of it).  After the consultation with Dr. Shapiro, he directed us to see the new patient coordinator, Debbie R.  She was helpful with going over what the next steps were going to be and showing us a price list of how much it would cost for our portion -with both our insurances. I was surprised how both Dr. Shapiro and Debbie were on a personal basis with us and how they stated that they were there to help us.  While in the office with Dr. Shapiro he sent me an email, which I was able to check right there thru my cell phone, and told us that if we have any questions to feel free to send him an email anytime.  On Debbie’s business card that she provided in the new patient packet she even listed her cell phone number.  I left the office that it was nice to know that The staff at the Fertility Center would be available whenever.A few hours after I had left the office I received a call from, Veronica at the Fertility Center, and was informed that both my insurances will not cover anything – diagnostic and/or the treatment because I had previously taken a hormone pill to help with my fertility. I had to cancel the diagnostic testings that we had both scheduled for later that week because the Fertility Center stated that they will be collecting over $3,000 up front. From my research and talking to several people who had IVF treatment before, most insurances do not cover treatment, but there a more insurances out there that will at least cover the costs for any diagnostic testing prior to treatment, which is what I was expecting. Two months later I received a bill from the Fertility Center for $287.00, which was cash pay for the initial consult that I had in June.  I work for a medical practice and understand how billing and insurances work.  Just because insurances may not cover or have a preexisting on IVF treatment, it does not mean that they will not cover an initial consultation. Before I called the Fertility Center about the charge I contacted my primary insurance to see if they have received a claim for that office visit.  I also went over my benefits as far as what my insurance covers as far as infertility, , and treatment.  I attempted numerous times to get a hold of their billing department but I would always get directed to Gwen, from billing, voice mail.  I later called back my insurance and had a rep call the facility and have the billing department send a claim for the office visit that they were trying to collect cash from me.  Less than a month later, my insurance had paid for the claim. My balance of $287.00 dropped to my primary insurance copay which was $60.00 ((that is a lot of money they tried to get from me!!!)).  I waited a week later and followed up with Gwen and requested that she send the $60 copay charge to my secondary insurance for them to pick up.  I informed Gwen if my secondary insurance does not pick up the remaining $60 I will then take care of the balance.  Gwen stated that she would first need the check from my primary insurance before she can send the claim out to my secondary insurance.  That process I understood so I just waited.  Less than two months have passed and I received a bill in the mail from the Fertility Center for $60.  I immediately called Gwen to follow up because I had called my secondary insurance and they haven’t received any claim from their facility regarding my office visit in June.  As usual, you can never get a hold of her and get directed to her voice mail.  I followed up 2 weeks later because Gwen hasn’t returned my call yet, and same thing I had to leave a message.  To take it to a higher level I tried to get a hold of the office manager and to no surprise I got directed to voice mail and had to leave a message for Shelley. It’s lucky that I understand how medical and billing works.  I feel sorry for the rest of the people who were told the same and ended up paying thousands of dollars in hopes of having a baby.  After discussing my experience with others I have heard numerous times that Dr. Shapiro and/or the Fertility Center is known for just wanting your money.  NEVER EVER would I recommend the FERTILITY CENTER to ANYBODY. THEY AUTOMATICALLY TELL YOU YOUR INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER AND YOU HAVE TO PAY CASH UP FRONT!

My husband and I decided to see Dr. Shapiro, after over a year of trying to get pregnant. We went through all the testings that was recommended by Dr. Shapiro and found our problems. Our only option was IVF. Dr. Shapiro was very professional and he even answered my e-mails after hours (8pm). He had great bedside manners and he was very confident that we would get pregnant.  Due to our busy schedule the fertility center was able to work around our schedule between the Sahara office and the Henderson office (we mainly went to the Sahara office). I really enjoyed the staff from the front staff to the back staff. Trish (IVF coordinator) was very helpful in answering all my questions and concerns via phone or e-mail. Gwen/Jennifer (billing) were also very helpful in answering my questions regarding the financial. With all the blood work that I had to do, Dove is your girl. Overall, I would recommend The Fertility Center of Las Vegas. P.S. We are now 4 months pregnant with our first IVF cycle.

I was very disappointed with this place. At the beginning I called the office to schedule for a consultation because of some of the very good reviews online. It took me 30 mins just to wait in line on the phone because they always put me on hold.  So when I finally get to see Dr D. the first time he only spent 10 mins with me and immediately assumed that I have PCOS. I told him I had some tests done with my regular OB and she found out I do not have PCOS, and in fact I had an MRI done we found a prolactinoma in the pituitary, which inhibited ovulation. He did not listen to what I said and that was the end of the $2xx consultation. I was then sent to a room with a financial coordinator who told me I have basically close to zero coverage despite I have insurance, and she gave me a long list of unnecessary expensive tests (total around $3000, e.g. genetic testing, vaginal culture tests even though I have no related medical history/family history) that I had to pay for, before the Dr and I can discuss any possible solutions for my problem.  I walked out the door and never came back. It was a wise decision. Luckily I went to another fertility center and now I am happily 5 months pregnant with twins.

I can honestly say I never had a single bad experience during my wife’s treatment. You are seen as family there and everybody genuinely cares from the receptionist, to the nurses, to the ultrasound techs and above all Dr. D. I can honestly say that even if we haven’t had gotten pregnant we would have been highly satisfied with the care and treatment. Dr. Daneshmand and his staff made my experience with IUI and IVF a smooth and easy process.  They always went the extra mile and took the time to answer all my questions (even at 10pm at night, via text).  Dr. Daneshmand is what really made the difference for me.  He is warm and caring and he KNEW my chart.  He responds to his emails personally and welcomes questions and communication.  The blood draw staff were also very kind.  You have SO many blood draw appointments during IVF that it’s important to have that friendly interaction while doing something that hurts.  I am now pregnant though IVF with their facillity.  I’m so grateful for all of their hard work and dedication and I recommend them to my family and friends that are going through infertility.

Dr. Shapiro had come recommended to me by many people.  He is very nice and never makes you feel rushed during your appointments.  He always took the time to answer all of my questions.  There were even times I emailed him concerns and got a response at 10pm, or he’d call me the next day to discuss my concerns.  I work in healthcare and can tell you it is RARE that a doctor doesn’t rush you out the door and actually calls you to discuss things themselves.  There are times his nurses call you with updates, but for the important things he calls you personally.  The office is full of nice people that are always willing to help you out with whatever you need.I was really impressed when I saw Dr. Shapiro in the hallway one day (and I wasn’t there to see him, just for blood work) and he stopped to talk to me just to check in and see how I was.  He remembered my name and situation-not many doctors would do that! The office is VERY organized and gives you nice schedules depending on your treatment so that you know exactly when and where you need to be for the many appts you’ll have if you are doing a fertility treatment.  I saw someone commented that they were forgotten-that never happened to me.  They call when they say they will call, which is something many offices don’t do.I did an IVF cycle with them and couldn’t be happier.  I did get pregnant and they have great success rates here! Also wanted to note that Amity, PA is awesome!  I loved getting my ultrasounds and visits with her.  She is sweet and caring and seemed as excited as me when I got pregnant!  Great staff there!

Amazing … We came to FCLV because we were at wits end with another Dr we were seeing who was HORRIBLE. We are two moms and found Dr. Shapiro and staff at FCLV to be very caring and friendly.  They became part of our family.  Everything was explained and detailed, everyone was professional and they even called to see how we were doing post visits.  We did one round of IUI that was unsuccessful and moved on to IVF and now have two amazing 12 week old little girls.  FCLV helped make our family and will forever be part of our family.  If you have any fertility issues I HIGHLY reccomend  FCLV the CARE is PHENOMINAL and your not just a patient – you become family that is how they made us feel  and we are still in contact with them today.  TOP NOTCH CARE and the statistic to prove it !!!!Thanks FCLV 2MOMS2TWINS

This was our “Step 3” in our quest of having a baby. Highly recommended by many people (one of my friends went here), including our doctor, Dr. Hersh. We went to one of their free seminars (only free if you register) in the evening- jeez, it was a packed house. The two doctors explained many things to us. Questions were answered at the end of the seminar. Follow-up appointments were made. It was a well-organized assembly line complete with refreshments. The staff, although busy, was very nice. We met with Dr. Shapiro one on one. We were given a folder with useful information. Although, we had been through a full round of tests, we were scheduled to take more tests. I had some low levels but it wasn’t a big deal. The doctor said that we were both fine- everything worked, but just not together. (We fall into the unexplained category.)We did a few months of regular cycles, but still no pregnancy. I should mention the few snags- we were forgotten a couple times, maybe because they were really busy. One major oops is that I underwent a procedure that I didn’t need. One of the tests indicated that I had “debris”. so I went under, only to find out that I didn’t need anything done in the first place. I went to the center about 3x a week, which was very far from where we live, and from my job as well. Luckily, I forwarned my bosses about the numerous treks to the doctor’s office. On two cycles, one of the aids failed to tell me that I needed some medication (which I then had to go back home to retrieve). We moved on to IUI- intra uterine insemination, but it didn’t work. The medication made me extremely tired and lethargic- all I wanted to do was sleep. It was bad- all the side effects- I remember feeling like an experiment- all the bloodwork and ultrasounds. The doctor recommended that we do IVF- in vitro fertilization. However, my health insurance doesn’t cover IVF so we didn’t go through with it.

The way I see it – I’ve planned every aspect of my life so far: take on college, then grad school, pursue a career, commit to marrying, settle into a home, retire from corporate life, build a business, etc. But when the project is to start a family, should I just leave it to chance? As I am no longer twenty-something and the “family” project was constantly superceeded by something else, I decided a plan was overdue and turned to Dr. Said Daneshmand, MD and his staff at the Fertility Center of Las Vegas, who has a reputation for being as good as it gets in the field of fertility – high success rate and personalized care.As a health professional, I respect and admire doctors not just for their graduating credentials and training (Dr. D graduated top of his med school class, trained at prestigious institutions, and board-certified in fertility medicine) but for the ability to stay current and be a better clinician than businessman. We all know that clinical and back-office staff as well as a state-of-the-art facility and innovation yield better results. With FCLV, I felt I was given the white glove treatment long after the surgical gloves came off. Dr. Daneshmand truly cares about his patients and joyfully and expertly practices this most innovative specialty.Commitment, expertise, and integrity, the values we set for ourselves in our business, are the same reasons I have recommended Dr. Daneshmand to the closest of friends as far away as Manhattan for advice and consultation when they mention they are ready for a child in their life. Congratulations on planning to plan.
