Extraordinary Conceptions Launches Cross-Border Surrogacy Program

Extraordinary Conceptions has announced the launch of its Cross-Border Surrogacy Program. The new initiative aims to make family-building through surrogacy more affordable and accessible for intended parents worldwide.

The program addresses two major challenges facing prospective parents: the high cost of surrogacy in the United States and lengthy waiting times in countries like Canada. By combining embryo creation at U.S. fertility clinics with surrogate care in Mexico and Colombia, the agency reports that families can reduce overall surrogacy expenses by up to 60 percent.

How the Program Works

Under the Cross-Border Program, embryos are created at fertility clinics in the United States, where intended parents benefit from advanced reproductive technology and medical oversight. Once embryos are created, families continue their surrogacy journey in Mexico or Colombia, where medical and surrogate care costs are significantly lower.

The program includes several key features:

  • Embryo creation at established U.S. fertility clinics with experienced reproductive specialists
  • Access to advanced fertility technologies including ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection), PGT genetic screening, and vitrification for embryo preservation
  • Secure, temperature-controlled embryo transportation between countries through trusted partners
  • Reduced waiting times for surrogate matching, with the agency reporting matches in weeks rather than years
  • Legal contracts designed for enforceability in surrogacy-friendly jurisdictions in Mexico
  • Multilingual support in seven languages including English, Spanish, French, Chinese, German, Italian, and Russian

Program costs start at approximately $135,000, representing a 40 to 45 percent reduction compared to standard U.S. surrogacy programs.

According to the agency, the Cross-Border Program has already assisted over 100 families in achieving parenthood. The program operates exclusively in Mexican states with favorable surrogacy laws and in Colombia, where legal frameworks support international surrogacy arrangements.

“Our Cross-Border Program brings together world-class fertility care and affordability,” said Mario Caballero, CEO of Extraordinary Conceptions. “Families deserve both excellence and accessibility, and this program delivers on that promise.”

Who May Benefit

The program is designed for intended parents facing financial barriers to U.S. surrogacy or experiencing long waiting times in their home countries. The agency notes that Canadian intended parents, in particular, face multi-year waiting lists for surrogate matches domestically.

Partner fertility clinics are located in destinations including Punta Mita, Mexico, and facilities in Colombia.
