Jarret Zafran

About

Jarret Zafran is an attorney and the founder and executive director of Brownstone Surrogacy, a surrogacy agency located in NYC. He and his husband have a daughter born with the help of an egg donor and surrogate. Inspired by their own experiences and those of their surrogate, Jarret left his law firm job to start the type of personal, professional, and ethical surrogacy agency they would have wanted to guide them. Before Brownstone, Jarret was (in reverse chronological order) a litigator at the law firm WilmerHale LLP, a law clerk to two federal judges in New York, and, before law school, a pollster for political, corporate, and nonprofit clients, including President Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012. Jarret received his Bachelor's degree from Harvard University and his law degree from NYU School of Law. He serves on the New York City Bar Association’s Children and the Law Committee and is a member of the American Bar Association’s Assisted Reproductive Technology Law Committee. He also mentors students in the city’s public high schools and conducts college admissions interviews for Harvard.
