Global Surrogacy Services was founded by Shana Melamed, Pharm.D., whose background in fertility pharmacy helped shape the agency’s practical, detail-oriented approach to surrogacy. Before founding GSS, Shana owned and operated a fertility pharmacy, where she worked closely with intended parents, surrogates, reproductive endocrinologists, OB/GYNs, and other professionals involved in fertility care. That experience gave her a direct understanding of medication timing, clinic communication, medical coordination, and the questions families face during fertility treatment. Her professional background also includes teaching pharmacology to nursing students, lecturing on pharmaceutical compounding to medical residents at UCLA and USC, participating in university study programs, and being named Businesswoman of the Year by the City of Beverly Hills.
