Stay far far away from this company. They are only after your money. They are disorganized and wasted 9 months of our lives. They were downright mean and verbally abusive. They gave us scares with false medical diagnoses. If I could give negative stars I would. I could not believe the incompetence and hostility from Alex Maron and Greg Wiles. They are also scammers as they own Pacific Fertility as well and charge their own companies for services so they can pass that cost onto the customer even though they are essentially in the same office space.…

I unfortunately cannot recommend Hatch based on my experience as a prospective gestational carrier. I strongly encourage anyone considering becoming a surrogate to do thorough research and carefully consider their options before choosing an agency. I went through the extensive screening process, provided deeply personal information about myself and my medical history, and completed a psychological evaluation with a licensed psychologist. I was ultimately declined as a candidate. I want to be very clear: my negative review is not because I was declined. I understand that surrogacy agencies need strict screening standards and that not every candidate will qualify. My issue is how I was treated once I was no longer a viable candidate for Hatch. I have never dealt with any serious psychological issues in my own life or within my family that would have led me to expect a concerning result from a psychological evaluation. So being told that I did not pass the screening, without being given any meaningful explanation as to why, was incredibly unsettling. I asked for a copy of my psychological evaluation so I could understand the findings. Hatch told me that because they requested and paid for the evaluation, they own and control the report, that it is considered an eligibility tool rather than my behavioral health record, and that they will not provide me with a copy or go into detail about its findings. Their own informed consent agreement, however, states that with permission from the requesting party, which is Hatch, the evaluator may be able to meet with the candidate to explain the results and answer questions. So even if I cannot receive the actual report, there is a mechanism for Hatch to allow me to understand the results of an evaluation performed on me. The entire experience left me feeling like prospective surrogates are valued for what they can provide to the agency, and once you are no longer useful to their process, that care and communication disappears. I cannot speak to Hatch’s intentions, but that is genuinely how their handling of my situation made me feel. Surrogates are not just candidates on a checklist or a means of completing a transaction. These are women offering to put their bodies, health, time, and families through an enormous commitment to help someone else have a child. That deserves an incredible amount of respect and compassion, even when a candidate ultimately is not accepted. I was not asking Hatch to reconsider its decision. I was not demanding that they approve me. I simply wanted to understand what was identified during a psychological evaluation of me that resulted in my being declined. Instead, once I was no longer moving forward as a surrogate, I felt dismissed. If you are considering becoming a gestational carrier through Hatch, I strongly recommend reading every consent document carefully and understanding that, under the agreement I was given, Hatch controls the psychological evaluation report and you may not receive a copy of it if you are declined. Unfortunately, I felt extremely rushed and pressured multiple times to sign these agreements without feeling I had enough time to review everything. I went into this process genuinely excited about helping another family. I walked away feeling like a dollar sign whose value disappeared the moment Hatch determined they could not move forward with me. That is what ultimately changed my opinion of the company. It was not the denial itself. It was how I was treated afterward.…
I was a GC for the loveliest dads and the support we got from Hatch from the beginning was absolutely fantastic. Brittany was my intake coordinator and prepared me well, and Lexi was our ongoing case manager and I loved her. Her calm, supportive, attentive vibes were so appreciated, and her relation of her own experience as a GC (4x!) was just so helpful. I felt completely cared for and so appreciated her check ins. Plus, hatch handled so much of the logistics-arranging travel, paying bills, checking in on insurance, etc. Totally made me so grateful for an agency to navigate all the stuff I didn’t have time to do while growing baby and caring for my own family! We had a great run with TFA which is acquired by Hatch. Our case manager Stephanie is responsible and responsive. She has been very helpful with intended parents. There can be improvement for her interactions with the surrogate. Overall, it is a satisfying experience.
This review is for our case manager, Stephanie Provo, who's been so amazing during this whole process. We are IPs who were initially with the Fertility Agency and they underwent a merge with Hatch in the beginning of our journey. The transition from our old case manager to Stephanie was pretty seamless. She picked up exactly where we left off and was able to help coordinate the fertility clinic whole day meeting and all the logistics involved. She served as the connection between us and our surrogate, and made sure we were all supported and cared for during the process. She handled countless details behind the scenes, most recently our surrogate's hospital bills, so we could focus on what mattered most. We had a rather traumatic journey after our surrogate became pregnant (no fault on anyone except bad luck) and our baby ended up in the NICU. Stephanie was there with us every step of the way. She checked in regularly, offered reassurance when we needed the most, and celebrated each milestone with us. She and another outreach coordinator (Brittany Sheely) even sent us flowers during one of our darkest moments. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a reminder that we weren't alone. Our experience with Hatch and Dr. Michelle Evans was extremely disappointing. After waiting over two years, we ultimately ended up without a baby and incurred significant financial loss. Our journey began in 2023, and it wasn't until August of last year that we secured a surrogate despite persistent follow-up and persuasion. When our surrogate finally had a transfer, Dr. Evans, her primary doctor, was consistently unavailable. She underwent two transfers, both of which failed to result in pregnancy. Dr. Evans incorrectly attributed these failures to the embryos, neglecting to consider her own lack of proper follow-up and the fact that she did not perform the transfers herself—no hysteroscopy was done, despite the lining of the uterus needing to be at least 10, which was not the case. Meanwhile, the other surrogate for our sibling journey became pregnant at a different clinic, which demonstrated a thorough process involving the embryologist and proper uterine lining assessment of 10.6. After waiting from 2023 to 2026 with no results, we switched to another agency by God's grace. Within four months, our other surrogate became pregnant using the same embryos created at PFCLA. Our experience with PFCLA was equally horrible. Communication was poor, and every time, the coordinator changed. Despite paying substantial fees, I had to follow up constantly. I would strongly advise others against choosing PFCLA, especially Hatch. My husband's experience was particularly frustrating—he was called to provide a specimen, flew across the country for his appointment, endured hours of waiting, faced poor attitude, and missed his flight. If you are willing to wait years and rely on Hatch and PFCLA, you can proceed, but there are other agencies that deliver better outcomes and professionalism.…
My partner and I were intended parents, now actual parents with the birth of our beautiful baby boy. We matched with an amazing surrogate, and appreciated all the help and ease of communication during the entire process -- from matching to the actual surrogacy journey. Mae provided us with a good amount of info and covered what to expect so during delivery day we felt ready. The "peace of mind" was definitely there for us and something we found very valuable. As a 6th time donor, 2 being with Hatch - I can absolutely say this company is wonderful to work with, very thorough, and I loved my coordinator Michela. She truly responded so quickly to any of my questions, helping with concerns, and providing great guidance during the journey. I had a tremendous experience my first time donating with Hatch so I am now comparing the cycles, with the second one still being successful but not quite as amazing. With my first donation from applying all the way to retrieval was about 9 months. From that retrieval to my second was an entire 12 months. A full calendar year it took to donate again even though I had passed all the exams and qualifications the first time, because so much time had lapsed (at no fault of mine since I was ready to donate again right away) I had to do many of the requirements again. It did feel like I was a brand new donor again. This can weigh on you a bit since your health is so scrutinized while you wait for your donation that I had to be on my A game the entire year to keep my body in optimal condition for the retrieval and to make sure I stay within the rules that Hatch requires. The clinic I had the first time for my retrieval was different than my last cycle with my last being at PCFLA Westwood. This clinic was also not my favorite compared to their other clinic. The wait times were very long for appointments, and some of the staff felt a bit cold. However, Dr. D and Sara were absolutely incredible. I’ve never met a doctor so directly involved in their patients care. I felt she really had empathy for donors. This last cycle was still, as I mentioned, wonderful and if I didn’t have such a stellar experience the first time with Hatch I would be raving about this one I’m sure.…
This is a long review, intentionally — when we started this journey, detailed experiences from real families were the most valuable resource we had. We hope this helps future intended parents evaluating Hatch Fertility. Our experience with Hatch was exceptional. We worked with them for fertility treatment, egg donation, and surrogacy, and throughout the entire journey we felt supported, informed, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Vicken Sahakian was professional, knowledgeable, and transparent — particularly about the risks of our decision to pursue twins. He initially recommended two singleton journeys, but once we committed to twins, he fully supported us and guided us thoughtfully through the process. We had a successful transfer of two embryos (one from each of our sperm samples) and needed only one egg retrieval. His calm, empowering approach made a huge difference. The clinic is modern and well organized, but what made it truly extraordinary was the Egg Donation and Surrogacy team. A very special thank you to Ashley DeMik, our surrogacy case manager. Having been a surrogate herself, Ashley brought deep empathy alongside professionalism. She guided us on building a meaningful relationship with our surrogate and was present during every critical moment — including supporting us from 11 PM to 4:30 AM during our delivery in another state, coordinating with the hospital and keeping us informed throughout. Unforgettable. We also want to recognize Greg, Hatch’s CFO, who helped us structure the “Peace of Mind” financial plan — clearly explaining the benefits of integrated services and providing greater financial predictability throughout the journey. For timeline context: we signed in September 2023, found our donor in March 2024, had embryos ready by August 2024, matched with our surrogate in March 2025, transferred in September 2025, and welcomed our twin boys at 34 weeks in April 2026. Two pieces of advice for future intended parents: join the surrogate waitlist as early as possible (ours was ~18 months), and give the egg donor selection the time it deserves — it’s a deeply personal process. Our boys spent a short time in the NICU, which is common for premature twins — both are doing wonderfully today. We wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Sahakian, Ashley, Greg, and the entire Hatch team. I had an amazing experience with Hatch. One thing that truly stood out to me was that their specialists have prior knowledge and experience with surrogacy. As a first-time surrogate, my experience with Hatch was overall very positive. The process in the beginning felt a little slow, and I did have to follow up a few times to move things along. There were some staffing changes happening at the time, and once that settled, everything progressed smoothly and quickly — especially from matching through medical clearance. I absolutely loved working with the clinic, PFCLA, and specifically Dr. Sahakian. He is very direct and not “warm and fuzzy,” which I personally appreciate — I like clear, honest communication. My husband and I both work in healthcare, so we’re naturally critical, and the professionalism and efficiency at PFCLA really stood out. Travel coordination and communication were seamless. Our case manager at Hatch, Mandi, has been amazing. We did have a brief communication/personality mismatch with our first coordinator — she was very kind and didn’t do anything wrong — but Hatch handled it professionally, respectfully, and efficiently. Ive always wanted to be a surrogate! My parents struggled with infertility for over a decade before finally having me. I ended up the first GIFT baby born in Houston in 1991 and the second in the state of Texas. Growing up knowing how much I was wanted and loved made the idea of helping another family experience that same joy incredibly meaningful to me. I shared my experience on Facebook to inform others that mental illness is a disqualifying factor, even for those in recovery or without any major behavioral incidents. I received a reply and was told my disqualification was actually due to the need to discontinue medication. However, I am not on any medication, so that reasoning didn’t apply. The company followed up again and I was then told I was still disqualified but this time for not taking medication (medication I don’t require in the first place.) A little confusing but that’s alright! For context, ongoing therapy over many years can be highly effective and BPD is on a spectrum and has many different subtypes. The purpose of my original comment of being denied was solely to share my experience so others in similar situations are aware before applying. No harm! There was nothing else said. Additionally, I noticed that my comment was deleted. Because of this, and the inconsistent and contradictory responses, I personally would not feel confident in trusting this company. This place advertises $61,000 for idaho surrogates. I thought it may have been a misleading ad so to avoid waiting hours of my time I called them before filling out the application. The person I spoke with on the phone assured me the $61,000 is the BASE compensation. So I spent hours doing the application and then a phone interview to find out I was blatantly lied to. It’s only $45,000. Thanks for waisting my time. This should be illegal.

Il aura fallu patienter 18 mois entre la signature du contrat et la naissance de notre bébé. De plus, notre "surrogate" a été très bien accompagnée par sa coordinatrice. Hatch n'est pas l'agence la moins chère, mais les tarifs deviennent secondaires lorsque cette aventure permet de donner la vie à un petit bébé. I was very excited to donate my eggs! However, I was denied without given a reason. I have no mental illness, and great family health history and personal health. I am also a university student with good marks. I would have liked to know why I was denied, especially if it was simply a mistake in my application. I know they don't do this because they are busy, but I think it would be worth the time to let people know. It just seems sketchy when you are denied without reason (although I'm sure they had good reason to). I'm in the process of donating with another company with no issues regarding acceptance, so maybe they just have more specific and intense qualification? I don't know…
This place was such a disappointment. They really need to change the wording on the website as it is extremely misleading. When you read that they allow unlimited IVF, that is not actually at all true. They only offer that package for women who have been cleared by their doctor to have a high success rate of IVF and great AMH scores, are under the age of 35, and has been deemed by their doctor as having a high success rate with one single IVF cycle. Ummmm…….. If a woman has THAT good of a chance at IVF working the first time, why in the world would she want to pay quadruple the price at Hatch to have unlimited IVF? Also, a “guaranteed baby” as they say they offer on their website, does not include any of the pricing for your own IVF even though on their website it clearly uses words like “unlimited IVF.” I feel extremely let down and also feel tricked. I definitely want to let others know before they waste their time and emotions like I did.…
I had the pleasure of working with Hatch Egg donation and Surrogacy as an egg donor, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. The coordinators at Hatch are so supportive, always there when you need them, and will make sure you're well taken care of! They were able to promptly answer all of my questions and concerns, and work around my busy schedule. I believe Hatch truly has everyone's (egg donor and IP's) best intention at heart. We worked with The Egg Donor & Surrogacy Program for two years and it was a wonderful experience! They did everything they could to make the relatively complicated process of surrogacy as simple as possible. I was a first time surrogate here at the egg donor and surrogacy program and my first journey was absolutely amazing . Each Coordinator made me feel right at home and always had an answer to all of my questions. They were there every step of the way during my pregnancy; only one text or call away. I was fortunate enough to be a two time Surrogate with this exceptional Agency back in 2014 and 2015. There is a distinct difference between this Agency and others. Their attention to every detail of the process is second to none! The representatives are patient, passionate, and highly informative. I was a donor for this agency, and I saw the inner-workings of two other agencies along the west coast. I have to tell you this agency is BY FAR the most ethical, caring, and empathetic to its donors! Every step of my journey I had a cycle coordinator, on call nurses, and a whole team of people (for me an awesome team of women!) I could call on if I needed literally anything. IF YOU ARE INTENDED PARENTS, women and couples looking to start your journey to parenthood, please consider this agency, I am a highly experienced egg donor and let me tell you the way agencies treat their donors is everything, and sadly differs greatly, most dont treat us very well, the other two agencies I saw treated their donors like bread machines, it was awful. My experience with the program was wonderful. The staff were so caring and considerate of all my needs. I never had to worry about the paper work, they were very professional. always quick in responding to any questions I had. Always had a positive attitude . I ignored the negative reviews and took a chance, but unfortunately had a bad experience with them after having amazing experiences with another agency. They lacked transparency and clear communication from the beginning, telling me one thing and the intended parents something else entirely. Steps along the way weren’t handled professionally. Consequently, it ended up being incredibly stressful and a huge waste of time. What makes it even worse is that it is purportedly run by previous surrogates, yet the gestational carriers coming in are not valued.…
I had a very good experience with them. At the end I did ask a question and it never got answered. During the breastfeeding journey they are no help. Its basically a check in when the days you pumped and thats it.

Hatch Review from IPs using donor eggs and PCFLA. We are only halfway through the process with Hatch. They claim a 10 month surrogate wait and in the meantime we needed to create embryos. We picked our donor in mid February and it's June 24th today and she still hasn't started meds because Hatch AND PCFLA have dragged their feet at every step. For a quarter of a million dollars this is completely unacceptable. PCFLA can't invest in a text message notification system for your account?? Everything is done via e-mail. Hatch is unreachable by phone unless you leave a VM. I mean the sheer lack of complete incompetence between these two companies is shocking. But now we are stuck having sunk all our money and family money into this. Would not recommend.…
I just completed my journey with Hatch. I was 42 when I started the journey. 3 successful pregnancies and births (4 with my Surro babe!) They are based in Cali, but I live in Texas. Travelled to Cali twice (for medical clearance and transfer) everything else was done here. I had a great experience with Hatch.
Im working w them right now, did lining check today, and so far so good! They are great, night and day compared to another local agency I used 3x. They are very thorough, communicative, relatable (since all their employee’s seem to be prior surrogates), etc.
I’m a surrogate with them now and it has been super easy! My case worker is great. We did transfer in April and everything stuck 🍍 🫶🏻👏🏻.
I did one journey with them and I’ll be doing a second with them with the same IPs. First journey, I didn’t know surrogates could set their own compensation, so I didn’t even try. But communication was great and they were transparent! I loved each case worker I had through the different steps. Starting my second journey, they offered a base compensation of $60k for a second time surrogate. I asked for it to be at least $70k. The case worker had to get approval from the director. Got a text about 2 weeks later saying it was approved.…
Currently with Hatch and have felt like this every step of the way. I have to constantly reach out to them because they don't update me on anything until I ask. Ive sat around waiting for months for simple things. They've lost records and had to ask for them multiple times, given me a wrong information on different tests I had to do and where to do them. I'm with hatch right now but I was with a different agency before hatch bought them out. But I was frustrated for the same thing after the merge hatch slowed balled everything somethings cause of been done fast and they waited it out which annoyed me. But here I am almost done with my journey and I'm gonna look for someone else
I was going with hatch and the communication was awful! I had higher ups say they would reach out to me and well never did. I ended up choosing another agency after months of feeling like I was just a number to them. I get it’s a hurry and wait process but the lack of communication in itself was very off putting. I’m still waiting on they higher ups to contact me 🤪
I’m a GC with hatch. My coordinator has been there for me every second. Maybe ask for a new coordinator. They didn’t seem this way to me.
I did two journeys with Hatch but I would not recommend them. I’ve not enjoyed my coordinators and their lack of organization and/or lack of involvement. I felt very alone on my last journey with them and it was very off putting.
I am on my first journey with Hatch. I have loved every moment. Everything has been so smooth. My case worker has been so supportive and has made me feel special the entire time. I am currently 25 weeks pregnant. Please don’t let one person’s poor experience sway you, especially when it had nothing to do with the agency but with fertility clinic.
My very first journey years ago, I started with Hatch and I didn’t have a great experience. The very strict clinic dropped me immediately after my lining didn’t respond at med clearance to estradiol enough. Okay fine, but Hatch dropped me without hesitation, which seemed a little weird given there are tons of other clinics. I went on to do 3 journeys. So it was a them problem. Not a me problem. I’d never recommend them.
I haven’t been loving my coordinator or how they’ve handled a few things regarding payment. My coordinator is very hands off and doesn’t take initiative. I am having to remind them to set up payments for appointments etc. I had some issues with payment and they made it seem like it wasn’t a big deal when it really was. I’m not planning to be a surrogate again, but if I were I would not go with Hatch again.

As a first-time surrogate, my experience with Hatch was overall very positive. The process in the beginning felt a little slow, and I did have to follow up a few times to move things along. However, there were some staffing changes happening at the time, and once that settled, everything progressed smoothly and quickly — especially from matching through medical clearance. I absolutely loved working with the clinic (PFCLA — which of course depends on the intended parents’ choice). My husband and I both work in healthcare, so I tend to be pretty critical of systems and communication, but I was genuinely impressed. Travel coordination and communication were seamless. We did have a communication/personality mismatch with our first coordinator. She was very kind and didn’t do anything “wrong,” but it just wasn’t the best fit. What really stood out to me was how Hatch handled it. They addressed it professionally, respectfully, and efficiently. I’m big on how situations are handled — not just what happened — and they did an excellent job. Our new coordinator has been fabulous. Payments were never missed or delayed, and financial processes were clear and reliable. Support throughout the journey has been strong — from group meetings and individual check-ins to texts and calls whenever needed. The support kits and thoughtful gifts along the way were also a really nice touch. I can’t speak from the intended parents’ side, but from what I’ve seen, they seem very happy as well. Hi! Of course! From start to finish the communication was flawless. I never felt alone. I always felt supported my questions were answered immediately. If I needed something I could get to someone quickly. They explained everything in intense detail. My wants and needs were listen to. I never felt pushed into making decisions I didn't want to make. We’re currently working with Hatch. They promised us a 10 month wait for a match, and we didn’t match for 18 months. Even then, it was only because we threatened to go elsewhere and get our deposit back.
