Weird that I was not approved to be a surrogate when I have zero health issues and have birthed 5 of my own babies with no serious complications. This company feels like there is something sinister behind it and that is truly based of my intuition and experience with them. They only have a AI robot ask you personal information and speak with you. It’s very creepy. Do not give them your personal information. I think I’d like to find a traditional surrogacy anyway if I was going to do this that way the process could all happen quicker and easier for the family. Oh yeah, they lie in their advertisements about how much they pay. It is not “$150,000” , only $60,000 plus extra money that goes towards other things.…

We began working with Roots Surrogacy in January 2023 after interviewing over 10 agencies. Roots stood out because of their hands-on approach and the fact that many team members have been surrogates themselves. Our journey took 2 years and 9 months before our child was born. While that’s longer than one would expect, much of the delay was due to circumstances outside of Roots’ or our control. Through it all, Roots supported us with compassion and consistency. Our case manager, Amanda Rega, truly championed us as Intended Parents. She was incredibly responsive, easily available over text with quick replies, and consistently looked out for our best interests. Roots presented us with several promising candidates before ultimately finding a match we were genuinely excited about and that our fertility clinic (with its very high standards) approved. They also helped us navigate some tricky situations with nuance, promptness, and care, balancing our needs thoughtfully while ensuring that our surrogate felt well supported as well. In the end, Roots delivered fully, and we’re deeply grateful. We highly recommend Roots Surrogacy to anyone looking for a partner on this life-changing journey.…

I just completed my 2nd journey with Roots and I had a wonderful experience both times. Everyone I met with Roots were lovely. Answered all my questions and checked in with me even when it was just to say hi. Cassie and Jenny were always so sweet and supportive of me as the surrogate and am forever grateful. I cannot say enough about my experience with Roots surrogacy! I have never been a surrogate before my journey in 2023/2024. I am a busy mom of three little boys and was nervous about adding a pregnancy to my already full plate. I had always wanted to help a family in need and offered to be a surrogate to my family and friends struggling with fertility, before finding Roots. Between the pre-surragacy exams and test, meeting and matching me with the most perfect family, legal paperwork, taking fertility meds, traveling to the family for the embryo transfer, growing a beautiful baby, delivery and postpartum - Roots wonderful group of woman were there for me the entire time! I literally could call, text or email any of them and they were there to answer my questions or help me with anything else I might need! I know I had a picture perfect first journey, but I can tell you that they are also there for those who don’t. What a fantastic community of loving people. I have completed two journeys with roots and could never look at another agency. From my first call with them to my most recent delivery, I have been treated with nothing but kindness, respect and a sisterhood that I know is like nothing else. I matched with Roots Surrogacy in 2022 knowing almost nothing about surrogacy and the things to except. The team was very hands on, went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met.
I had a horrible experience. I went through my entire journey alone and completely unsupported by roots. My contact person only cared about what the intended parent wanted and needed and was defensive every time I tried to communicate with her. I will say that I think she tried in her own way, she just doesn’t seem to have a personality for the job. No compassion, concern or understanding. Between roots and the intended parent, I was a depressed shell of my former self and I’m still picking up the pieces. Alone.…
We had a terrible experience with this agency. We worked with them for 2 years (having started with ready high graded embryos) and after that many years didn't even get to the transfer stage. They kept providing us with GCs who had medical issues over and over again and even tried to pressure us into using one against our doctor's advice. We ended up breaking the contract, out $30k with nothing to show for it. The owner's attitude was judgy and inappropriate, always blaming us and never taking responsibility for her agency's mistakes. In the end, she tried to shame us for choosing to go international instead of continuing with her agency - when we went international we got a baby within 10 months, at less than half of what she charged. My only regret is ever trying to do it with Roots.…
I am so thankful and grateful to work with this surrogacy agency as a gestational carrier. Brooke and her team of surrogate coordinators/ facilitators are genuinely rockstars. They are impeccable. I feel valued and treated fair. My questions and concerns are always addressed promptly. Both Sarah (previous) and now Amanda (current) share with me the joys of every milestone. They are much more than the roles they carry. I am so appreciative of how authentic and personable Amanda is. Jenny is phenomenal as well! However, every member of the team is approachable and responsive. I just have gotten a little closer with those I have been in contact with a little more. I value communication and they are spot on. As for matching, I have an amazing family I get to make whole. Roots did a great job matching me with intended parents! My intended parents are so genuine. I love how they have made the time and effort to build a relationship with me. They are immersed and vested in the process just as much as I am. Lastly, I was connected through an advocate group, Surrogacy Is. Surrogacy is connected me with the Roots agency. I am so thankful that they connected me with Roots! They make things personal which makes you feel really comfortable through out this journey. Even during COVID, I was able to get a match quickly. Roots is AMAZING! Such a wonderful and knowledgeable group of ladies to guide you through the process of being a surrogate. They are literally there for you night and day for help, emotional support, advice, etc. They tackle all sorts of big emotions from surrogates and IPs and navigate heavy news or decisions with honesty and love. So far Roots Surrogacy has been nothing short of amazing! I mostly communicate with Brooke and Sarah. They are both kind, patient, make you feel very comfortable with the process. This is my first surrogacy journey and I think I made the best decision by going with Roots! I am coming up on my first transfer in the next month or so and I can't wait!

Hello! I wanted to share my experience as someone who just completed their first surrogacy journey. Going into this experience I knew I always wanted to do this I just didn’t know how to start or anything about it. Honestly I was quite nervous to begin and had so many questions. I was directed to partner with Roots Surrogacy. At first I was terrified but fast forward to January of 2026 and I completed my first surrogacy journey. All my worries and hesitations went right out the window after meeting with Roots. They helped me every step of the way. They made me feel supported and like someone was advocating for me and in my corner. I always had support and even a direct point of contact who was always a message or phone call away. They made the entire process simple and well organized. What I loved most is I truly felt like they cared and wanted a good experience for both me and the IPs. They truly focus on getting to know each of us and pairing the right families together. Myself and the IPs were a perfect match and we got along so well. We were so similar in our lives that made the process much more enjoyable. If anyone is on the fence or doesn’t know where to start I 100% recommend at least having a conversation with Roots Surrogacy to see if they’re good fit!…
I just had a baby last week through roots agency and I cannot recommend them enough! Every step of the way they have been so supportive and knowledgeable. I feel like communication is a top priority for them and I really value that. I will definitely be working with them again!

Emily Grace proceed with caution. They hid material health information from us about a GC, and then screamed at us about a whole list of ridiculous things. It was shocking and I ended up therapy for two years because of it. They are looking for rich IPs, because their fees are absolutely bonkers. They also offer a higher tier agency fee ($150k?) where you can ‘skip the line’ and match immediately - a highly unethical practice that keeps their other IPs waiting longer.

I have completed two journeys with Roots and have zero complaints.
I have completed two surrogacies with them and have no complaints at all. I feel like I was treated fairly as a GC as were my IPs. My IPs did mention that they never really had much follow up after delivery from the agency but that was the only complaint I heard.
They are on my “nope” list. In addition to what Portia said above, they also restrict direct communication until after legal which is always a red flag with me! I think there were more reasons but that’s all I can think of at the moment.
