Love this agency. I used Kim for my second surrogacy journey and presently my third. She is compassionate, informed, and stays on top of everything. I also recommended friends of mine who are IPs and they had had an amazing experience with her.
Back in 2019 I was introduced to Kim at Supportive Conceptions Surrogacy after finding out my 'second parents' daughter was looking for a surrogate. I was totally up for helping another family out. After having my first 'belly buddy', I was blessed with having 2 more for another family, all with Kim's help. During all 3 surrogate journey's, it's one thing to be the carrier, but it's another having to deligate all the paperwork, legal process and other major key points to making a journey like this run smooth. A review for Supportive Conceptions Surrogacy: I had started my journey without an agency. A friend was on board to carry our baby. I have a background in contracts, high level project management, and while there was a learning curve, no agency I spoke with offered services to someone already matched. Then that journey went sideways. The grandmother of my friend was about to have a heart attack and put herself in the hospital to make sure my friend didn’t go through with being a carrier. I broke the match just before Christmas 2021. Supportive Conceptions Surrogacy was on the referral list from both my lawyer and also my clinic. On December 27, 2021, I called. I told Kim, the owner, my story. She was kind, understanding, empathetic, and also pragmatic. I was aware that there was a two year waiting period for surrogates. “But I have this one…” she said. As it happened she had a surrogate who had just turned 40 and had aged out of the clinic many of Kim’s clients come from. She was attempting a sibling journey but that embryo didn’t survive the thaw. Knowing my story, Kim offered to send over the paper file to our clinic for the initial review to see if it was even a possibility. It was. Kim sent over a clear and thorough costs sheet along with a schedule of payment so I knew what to expect if we ended up matching. I was sent a profile and homework to complete ours. On January 17, 2022, we had our match call and were matched with an amazing human I now consider a dear friend. Kim worked efficiently and FAST to support our GC through the medical evaluation piece. She worked over a weekend to help the lawyers write the contract which was done in less than 48 hours. When there was a hiccup with the meds, Kim was right there to support them getting to our GC on time. Going through an agency is often thought to cost more because of the agency fee. In our case it cost us significantly less. Because of Kim’s extensive knowledge and her professional contacts, we were able to save more than the agency fee on our journey. Insurance alone was half the cost I was going to pay when I was going the independent route. On March 24, 2022 we transferred our embryo. On December 11, 2022 my baby was born. We had a hiccup at the hospital because the hospital refused to allow us to access the breast milk at the hospital and Kim was right there to help problem solve. She found us 130 ounces of local breastmilk for us to be able to purchase to be ready for when the baby arrived. Kim is an extraordinary human and she is also a fantastic agency owner. In less than a year after making my initial call I had a baby in my arms. That was possible because Kim sees every journey as a unique and dynamic one that needs her creativity, flexibility, experience, and compassion. She made me feel seen, heard, and supported. Her communication was easy to understand. She was clear about what was expected of us and when. She sent regular reminders. She followed up and was easy to get ahold of. Kim was someone I could bounce my thoughts off of and I could ask for her guidance as I worked to problem solve or consider the many different decisions I had to make along the journey. I am aware that my timeline was lightning speed fast and that’s not the norm. I am also aware that wait times for a match are not so bad now!!
