It's taken me a long time to write this review. I had a truly horrible experience with USA Surrogacy International and don't recommend this company to anyone - intended parents or surrogates. We had been matched with a surrogate around March of this past year. We were connected with this surrogate through a concierge agency who had worked with USA Surrogacy International previously. From the beginning my husband and I found that Dawn, the owner and our main point of contact, pressured us to rush the medical review. After some pushing, we did end up completing a match call before the surrogate had finalized her medical review contrary to recommendations. The final stage of the medical review was a psych evaluation that our fertility clinic (RMA) would conduct with their in-house psychologist. Dawn had expressed some concern that the RMA's psychologist was not licensed in our surrogate's state. We were told by our concierge agency that she was working directly with our fertility clinic on another solution and that was the last we’d heard. A few days later, Dawn bcc'd my husband and I on an email to our concierge agency stating that the surrogate was pulling out due to discomfort with the psych evaluation. The email was sent at 4am and she accused our concierge agency of being "extremely angry" with her. My husband and I were pretty shocked as everything had seemed fine up to that point. We reached out to Dawn for clarification and didn’t receive a response. My husband and I also reached out to RMA who mentioned that Dawn never got in touch with them nor had she sought clarification on the process or expressed any concerns. They also said it was extremely unheard of for a surrogacy agency to communicate concerns regarding the medical review with a surrogate - those should be directed to the fertility clinic. After several attempts to contact Dawn, she finally bcc’d my husband and I on another email chain a few days later saying there was nothing she could do. The email was sent late at night and it was clear from previous emails on the chain with our concierge agency that Dawn believed my husband and I were requesting several extra tests which was not the case. The concierge agency also mentioned that they had a bizarre conversation with Dawn where she demanded to know what “psychological trauma” my husband and I had experienced to insist upon the psych evaluation. Obviously, this was a standard part of RMA’s process and we did not request it. The experience left us devastated. RMA said the surrogate was going to be medically cleared and we had to start all over again. Overall, Dawn’s behavior was bizarre and unprofessional. I would not recommend this agency because I do not want anyone else to experience this. Surrogacy is devastating and challenging enough and these circumstances exacerbated the experience. Both RMA and the concierge agency have stated they will no longer work with Dawn or this company given the above.…
Very negative experience, definitely feel like this company is a scam and not a legit surrogacy company. I was contacting them about my desire to be a surrogate. Initially they were communicating well and frequently. They had me fill out a long and tedious application and contacted places for medical records. Then stopped communications. They didn’t reply to any messages I sent requesting updates. I eventually emailed Dawn and she replied a week later apologizing and offering to look into the situation and set up a time to speak with me. She did not call at the arranged time and has not responded to any further emails. What a true disappointment this has been. And on top of that, they now have so much of my personal information from the application they had me fill out. Definitely would not recommend.…
