Holding my fiancé's hand in a quiet hospital room while watching two brand-new parents hold their baby for the very first time is a moment that will stay with me for the rest of my life. Being the partner of a gestational carrier means watching someone you love give the ultimate gift. Over the past nine months, I saw her navigate the nausea, the fatigue, the doctor appointments, and the physical toll of pregnancy—not for our family to grow, but so another family could finally begin. Leaving the hospital, watching my fiancé rest comfortably knowing her mission is complete, brings a feeling that is hard to put into words. There’s no nursery waiting at home for us, but there is a profound, quiet peace knowing that a nursery somewhere else is finally full. What started as a journey to help another couple has turned into something so much bigger: over these months, our two families have grown so close that it truly feels like we’ve built one extended family together. What I saw in that delivery room was absolute magic: * The First Hold: Watching the medical team carefully place that sweet baby straight into the waiting arms of parents who have prayed, dreamed, and waited years for that exact second. * The Relief and Joy: Seeing smiles gleam on the intended parents' faces—tears of sheer gratitude and love—knowing my fiancé made that miracle possible. * The Strength: Looking at my wife, completely exhausted yet beaming with pride, watching the new family bond while knowing she just completed one of the most selfless acts humanly possible. To our new extended family—the intended parents: Seeing you hold your child made every single moment, every injection, and every doctor's visit worth it. We started this as partners in a process, but we end it as family. We are so overjoyed for your new chapter. To my incredible fiance: You did it. You carried their world, brought it safely into the light, and gave them the gift of a lifetime. Standing by your side through this journey has been one of the greatest honors of my life.…
I can’t say enough incredible things about Vermont Surrogacy Network. From start to finish, they made the entire process feel smooth, organized, and stress-free. They were so easy to work with—always responsive, kind, and truly dedicated. What meant the most to me was how supported and valued they made me feel every step of the way. They took the time to keep me informed, educated, and confident in the process, which made such a difference. If you’re considering surrogacy, I highly recommend them. They genuinely care and go above and beyond to make sure you feel important and supported throughout the journey.…
I loved VSN (as an IP) and could not recommend them enough. They are a small agency located in Vermont and focused on more local matches, and we loved their vibe. It was important to us to have someone in New England so we could go to appointments and feel involved in the process. It took only 4 months from getting on the waitlist to sending us our first profile. They were very familiar with our fertility clinic and sent us someone who they were very confident would be approved by them. We matched with the first profile they sent, and we couldn't have pictured a better match. They really try to get to know their surrogates and their IP's to make sure that everyone is really aligned and are on the same page. VSN walked us through each step and were very knowledgeable. I always felt comfortable asking questions and got answers quickly. After the transfer, they checked in often to make sure everything was going well. I really felt cared for and important throughout this whole journey with them! Highly recommend!!…
A woman typing this review ignore the name. I could have passed from having HG. I was in the hospital. None of the medication worked. No fluids not able to eat drink or sleep. What do you think happens to a person when they go through that????! Wow is all I’ll say your email made my blood boil. Do some research please. Talk to people who’ve experienced it look at those who have passed from it. Better yet maybe walk in the shoes of one who has HG and then make an ignorant stance on it. Edit to add to the response there was nothing negative nor hostile about my review. If that’s how you feel then that’s on you I guess. Text is plain. No one likes to be told they are wrong. I just am responding due to a email from Vermont surrogacy network that HG isn’t life threatening and I highly disagree. Thank you.…
I just want to say shame on this company for spreading false information in saying Hyperemesis gravidarum is not a life threatening illness while denying a woman of access to surrogacy. This does not sound like a place to trust as they are not accurate or educated in all aspects of pregnancy related illnesses. Edit: I was writing a review based on proof of your interaction with someone I care about. I choose to publicly share this information as it’s my right to do so, to allow others to see what kind of place they will be dealing with. I suggest in the future you fact check before responding to a request from someone who clearly suffered immensely from an illness you ignorantly dismissed. Turning her away is fine, but the statement you made has caused this effect.…
I would not reccomend VSN to anyone after they told a fellow mother thay HG is "social" and not life threatening. As a fellow HG mother I can attest to the fact it is not social. It is life threatening. People get eating disorders, kidney failure, suicidal tendacies, and many other life threatening complications. I am extremely frustrated with the misinformation this clinic has.
DO RESEARCH ON HYPEREMESIS GRAVIDARUM! HG is life threatening! Many women with HG are forced to terminate because the symptoms are so bad. There was a woman who took her own life from the effects of HG. Those with proven HG should be considered for medically necessary surrogacy.
Being a gestational carrier partners during delivery for surrogacy: While it is all about the baby, intended parents and the gestational carrier during the pregnancy, as a partner for a gestational carrier it has to be one of the most rewarding experiences to be part of! Being part of the delivery process was a different experience than being there when your own child is born. The laughs and joys during the labor process between the Intended Parent and Gestational Carrier and myself made the birthing process more relaxed and memorable! While witnessing the birth your own child is a blessing in itself. This delivery experience I was able to witness it from a broader view. Meaning, instead of being pulled in two directions making sure your partner is doing fine and making sure the baby is doing fine, I was able focus more attention on my partner all while standing back and watching the joy from the Intended Parent. It felt like I was watching how I was as the parent of my own child being born and taking their first breath from a different set of eyes. The look on the Intended Parent face was amazing and full of happy tears and joyful happiness when the baby let out their first cry. I myself felt a rush of emotion for the Intended Parent which gave me a sense of happiness and joy to see their first bond together as Mother and Daughter. It almost brought tears to my eyes knowing my partner and I had done something so powerful and selfless to help give the gift of life to a family who deserves every bit of happiness and fill their hearts with more love! Although I was not as close with the Intended Parent (Mom) as my partner (Gestational Carrier), the Father and I had a lot in common and connected on our own level! Talking about projects around the house, work experiences and "talking shop" fixing cars and being old vehicle enthusiasts! The best was we only met twice in person before the delivery, we struck up conversations like we had known each other for years! Thank you to Vermont Surrogacy Network for making the whole process as seamless as possible!…
We had our first Journey at Vermont Surrogacy Network. Right from the very beginning I could feel the love and the passion they poured into their relationships. All my questions were answered, I felt confident in my decisions and felt very supported by Jes and her staff. They did an AMAZING job finding us our first 2 matches, and when these didnt work out for medical reasons on my behalf with the fertility clinics, they worked diligently to find a matching couple with a fertility clinic willing to work with me. They checked in often and at every milestone throughout the journey. Both myself, my family and the intended parents could feel their dedication to their goal of bringing families together to grow more families in every interaction. Could not recommend a better agency for your first or even your fourth journey. Thank you so much Jes and staff for everything you did for me and my family during our first journey and I can't wait to start our second with you!!…
I have done two surrogacy journeys with VSN as a gestational surrogate. Phenomenal communication, organization through the multiple processes needed from legal to medical to the matching process.
I am almost at the end of my journey as a gestational surrogate and from the start everyone at the agency has been wonderful to work with. They are quick to respond if I have any questions or concerns and truly take the time to match the GS with IPs that are on the same page.
I am a surrogate who is currently working with VSN. The communication and support they have provided me with is impeccable! The entire team is knowledgeable and willing to answer any and all of your questions! I would highly recommend VSN if you are looking for a close knit relationship with your agency.
I was a local, single guy in my 50’s looking to have a child with a donor and surrogate when I approached VSN. Jes Stumpf was very eager to work with me. She said she had helped a single guy similar to my age to get a surrogate and that she didn’t think she would have any problem matching me with a surrogate. She wanted $8,000 upfront before she would work with me and then needed another $20,000 in escrow. I gave her both as well as an additional $1,500 in escrow management fees. She then proceeded to show me the file of one potential surrogate. I approved that file, and she then sent my file on to the potential surrogate. However, the potential surrogate declined saying they did not think I was a good fit. It is not uncommon to not be matched with the first surrogate you are introduced to. Things then got put on hold with finding a surrogate as I ran into some hiccups with the rest of donor/medical process. My donor backed out at the last moment and COVID-19 hit causing the donor/surrogacy industry to almost completely be shut down for a year. This whole time VSN continued to send me monthly statements on my escrow informing me everything was still active. I finally found a new donor and updated my files online with VSN. The next week I was then sent a form letter from VSN that my account had been stagnant for 2 years and they said that I needed to reapply. A refund check of $20,000, only for the escrow funds, was attached. I reapplied with VSN and then heard nothing back from VSN or Jes. I tried multiple times to contact Jes by email and phone calls, but she would not respond. This was really insulting after I had given Jes $8,000 and she promised to find me a surrogate. All Jes did for me is show me one profile for a surrogate and then she just ignored me? She should have at least had the decency and integrity to call me and explain why she didn’t want to continue working with me, especially after she said she could help me and took so much money from me. I was out $9,500 for Jes only showing me a single profile! This is ridiculous and I feel preyed upon. I have since found a new surrogate agency which is great to work with. They found me an awesome surrogate and I now have a healthy child on the way. The new surrogate agency also did not charge me any money upfront before they made a match for me. Be wary of Jes and VSN before giving them any money, there are agencies out there that will match you with a surrogate before taking any money from you. Very disingenuous people at Vermont Surrogacy. I reached out to Jes as she suggested in her reponse to my orginal review and again she would not talk to me on the phone.…
It was a true blessing to have found Jes and VSN. We were nervous about the surrogacy process and had a long list of questions and concerns; but in addition to calming our fears, Jes listened intently, understood our personalities and what was most important to us, and really matched us up perfectly. As a result, we have a wonderful relationship with our surrogate and her family, and we’re thrilled to say we now have a happy and healthy baby. We are unbelievably grateful for Jes’ compassion, patience, and communication and relationship skills, and we are excited to do this again!…
My husband and I welcomed a baby boy into our lives in April after working with VSN for our surrogacy journey. We were very impressed with the level of attention and care we received - I interviewed about 10 agencies, and I selected VSN because of the personalized approach they take. They took the time to fully understand our needs and concerns and helped us with the complicated decisions we faced throughout the surrogacy process. Their screening process for gestational carriers is thorough and reliable, and we were extremely happy with the carrier we chose to work with. I'd highly recommend VSN to anyone interested in pursuing surrogacy.…
We first started working with VSN in 2018. We were impressed with the empathy and diligence from Jes and her team as we started the surrogacy journey. We matched with a surrogate very quickly and what a match it was; we couldn't feel more comfortable and confident in our relationship with our carrier, and great credit goes to VSN for their matching skills. We had a successful pregnancy and our son was born soon after. Fast forward two years and we are on this journey again with VSN and the same surrogate in the hope of welcoming a sibling. This process is never easy; it's an emotional and mental rollercoaster, and you are putting tremendous faith in multiple individuals to help you get one of the most precious things you could ever imagine, but we couldn't feel more comfortable with our VSN choice. Jes and company went above and beyond our expectations. We highly recommend this amazing group of people and are very excited to be on this journey again.…
We interviewed several agencies to make it possible to have our child. VSN was a great fit from the first meeting with Jes through the kindness shown to us when our baby was born. Our surrogate was perfect, as was her wife, and they were the first (and only) surrogate VSN matched us with. The process was quick, very easy, and gave us great joy in the end. We have recommended VSN to many people and will continue to do so. THANK YOU!!!
Vermont Surrogacy Network was great to work with. Everyone was compassionate, caring and down to earth. I had such a wonderful experience. I recommend them!
VSN is wonderful to work with. Jes walked us through every step of the process to be a carrier, and was with us before, during and after. Can’t say enough about their professionalism and compassion. Life changing...
When I chose to become a surrogate I thought that I would have to travel out of state to find an agency to work with because Vermont has such a small population. Not only was I mistaken in that assumption but it turns out I was very fortunate. Vermont Surrogacy Network epitomizes the caring small town feel that makes Vermont such a delightful place to live. Everyone I have interacted with at VSN has been generous with their time, attentive towards my needs, and the needs of the parents I chose to work with, and are so skilled at their jobs that you can trust them to manage all aspects of the surrogacy journey. I would highly recommend Vermont Surrogacy Network to any perspective surrogate or hopeful parents-to-be, they are phenomenal to work with!…
Vermont Surrogacy Network is absolutely wonderful to work with, Jess and the rest of the staff there are so compassionate about their work and have been available every step of the way. They really have a knack for connecting the right personalities together to really make this experience a beautiful one for both me the surrogate and the parents to be! I am so blessed that I am working with VSN and could not be happier to have them in my corner and by my side every step of the way especially through this unprecedented time during the COVID-19 pandemic. I would not hesitate one bit to work with them again given the opportunity to do so :)…
I have been working with the VSN since 2017. Jes has been so supportive from my first interview, constant contact during the pregnancy, to visiting us in the hospital after my first twin surrogacy journey came to a close, to welcoming me back with a smile when I’m decided to be a surrogate again! The VSN has made the experience of being a surrogate so much more than I thought. Jes has became a friend through out our time working together and I could not image doing this without her comprehensive knowledge of my experience and needs as a surrogate.…
I went through IVF hoping that my husband and I could have a child. Knowing what it was like, drew me to VSN after successfully having my own child. My husband and I decided that if we could help a couple become a family that we would, it’s wonderful karma points. After meeting with Jess, we felt confident that we would be supported as the G.C and felt as though Jess felt every emotion that I.P were feeling. It was a wonderful balance. It was an amazing experience to give the gift of life and to be part of a company that has heart. I hope to help one more family in the future…
I am currently a surrogate working with the Vermont Surrogacy Network. I was drawn to look into this process initially to help recover the cost of my higher education, but after talking with Jes and learning more about the families and lives it changes, I was overwhelmed with desire to be a part of someone’s journey. It has been the most rewarding and exciting adventure I have ever entered. Getting to know the families I have been matched with and learning about their struggles and desires to grow a family, have made me feel so incredibly fortunate to have my family and have the ability to help others make their dreams a reality. I have never been so pleased with a decision I have made, like I have been with this one. It has been a long journey and has had plenty of struggles, but I would not have changed anything that has happened along this journey, it has brought some incredible people into my life. From the most amazing intending parents I have worked with, the wonderful team at the Vermont Surrogacy Network, and the great medical teams at the fertility clinic’s. I have had such an amazing experience. If you have ever considered being a surrogate and helping a family make their dreams come true, or a family looking to grow, I hope you consider the Vermont Surrogacy Network to fulfill your dreams.…

The Vermont Surrogacy Network (VSN) provided a personalized, professional and life changing experience throughout my journey as a gestational surrogate. In fact, my experience was so superior that I served as a gestational surrogate a second time through the VSN. The team at VSN is thorough, knowledgeable, thoughtful and sensitive to every aspect of your journey. If you are considering surrogacy, I highly recommend starting with a phone call to the VSN.
I got the honor of meeting VSN when they had just began. Throughout my 4 year journey with them, they were knowledgeable, compassionate, professional and prompt. Jes and Kurt go above and beyond, they have a versed team of industry professional working side by side with both the intended patents and carriers. Wonderful experience. Looking forward to our new journey!
One cannot say enough about what Vermont Surrogacy Network has to offer. The care, quality, support, love, and dedication are unsurpassed. The founder, Jes, offers a compassionate heart, resilience and strength, and a generosity yet to be matched. I am grateful to know a place like this, with people like this team, exist to provide such needed services to families. Thank you for all you give and all you do!
We were very pleased working with Vermont Surrogacy through out out gestational carry with our close friend. It was helpful to have more support at the beginning to understand the steps, openly ask questions and then have support faded overtime as the pregnancy progressed. This allowed support to be utilized as needed and the connection with a close friend to be comfortable without too much support (as this process has many professionals involved). We are appreciative and happy that our little boy is healthy, happy and has a village full of love from the start!…
